This restored place is exactly what it says, beautiful rooms with painted ceilings hidden in an ordinary building in Palermo. We rented one of the apartments, our host Ricardo could not have been more welcoming and on arrival sat us down for a chat and a beer. The palazzo is elegant the facilities clean and our apartment had a wonderful... More

Giovanni is the most genial and helpful host. Our apartment was about six times the size of our house with a beautiful roof terrace. It also had a good working kitchen, useful for preparing produce from the Ballaro market which is two minutes walk away. The actual palazzo itself is huge and beautifully decorated. Giovanni bought it 15 years ago... More

This is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Palermo, located in the heart of the old city and easy walking distance from the major attractions, the train station and bus terminal (including the airport shuttle bus). Giovanni, the owner, provides a wonderful relaxed atmosphere of traditional charm in the grand and elegant surroundings of this beautifully and lovingly restored palazzo.... More

Well located and big space in the apartment. The rooms heading to the breakfast room are beautiful. It is like being given the chance to be a private guest in a museum/palace. The apartment we had is huge. wifi was excellent and having the office/study proved really timely. We only had one night but if we stayed longer the kitchen... More

I have never stayed in such a magical place as this. The rooms and the antiques - the photographs cannot display how majestic this old Palace really is. I will always try to stay here whenever I return to Palermo. And finally your host Giovanni and his Son Ricardo ... two of the most helpful and gracious hosts - this... More

Difficult to know where to start. This B and B is in a palace. The breakfast is served in a massive dining room with a painted ceiling and a huge Venetian glass chandelier. You approach this room through several similarly sized ornate rooms. Our apartment had 3 very large reception rooms a large kitchen, 2 double bedrooms, an en suite... More

Perfect choice for Sicily firstcomers to feel the soul of the island and especially Palermo. Old historical property with authentic interiors, spacey dining halls and ballroom decorated with painted ceilings, closed inner yard for private parking, central location and the most important - fantastic staff: very friendly and helpful.

Ignore your navigator and just get to the main road system or you will end up in a crazy warren. Once you get to the address you will find a large imposing entrance on a grubby Main Street. Do not be fooled. Find the name scrawled on the bell outside. Press and the magic starts. Riccardo is your congenial and... More

Sadly we only spent one night here - I could have stayed for a week. The host made us feel so comfortable and welcome in what could otherwise be an intimidating place to stay. The palazzo is truly beautiful - hand pained ceilings, antique furniture and beautiful wooden/tiled floors. Our apartment was really spacious and comfortable. It is 2 minutes... More

We stayed at Pallazo Montevago 3 nights, and the place is magical- it's like a palace. The pics on the internet can not show how beauty is there, you must see it. From outside looks very ugly. There are 5 or 6 living rooms for all quests- with pics on ceiling, equipped like in castle. The bedroom near the kitchen... More
