Great place to stay - comfortable, stylish and helpful owners. Air con works well and though you are seconds from the fish market it's easy to block out the noise. Avoid only if you can't cope with stairs.

Great b&b! Great location for visiting Catania, nice clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. We went there twice on our trip to sicily arriving and departing from catania. Make sure you arrange a time for meeting staff if you arrive outside opening hours. Nearby parking in a locked and secure garage. Highly recommend.

Poor room furniture, crumbling palace near the fish market (can you imagine the smell!) very poor breakfast at Bar Etoile (1 coffee and 1 croissant) ) with really unfriendly staff. It was a nightmare, never again!

We just stayed three nights in the apartment and loved it here. It's very spacious and has a kitchen that works well (stocked with some basic cooking ingredients which we appreciated), a gorgeous modern bathroom with the best shower we've had so far in Italy, and a lovely terrace where we had breakfast and dinner each day. The location is... More

Don't miss Catania in your Italian grand tour. But above all don't miss a stay in this wee gem of a bed & breakfast! Situated in the heart of the old town, surrounded by voices, colours, scents and flavors of the traditional fish market, every room is unique here, furnished with a vintage taste and decorated with design objects and... A place you will always want to go back to, just next to the Fish Market in a good central location. We were shown a very nice room, but then offered the chance to upgrade. It was a no brainer! Lovely big bedroom, with a hammock in it too, then its own kitchen, which was well equipped and finally on... More

Well, very good, actually. Bad Catania ticks all the boxes: In the center of town? Check. Friendly staff? Check. Clean? Super check. Good rates? Check-ola. And what's more, its funky and fun design. Will I stay here the next time I come to Catania? CHECK! Great job, Pietro and the staff!

We stayed at BAD Catania for three nights in September 2013 and were very satisfied with the accommodations. Positives: Great Value (55 Euro/night) for a double with an internal bathroom Location (right next to the fish market and close to Duomo Square and bus hub) Funky and unique decor Felt like we were locals living in an old apartment building...
