We liked the location of this hotel just a short walk from Piazza Duomo, and the staff were all very friendly. Unfortunately, this hotel has a few problems. The room, a superior double, was spacious and had a beautiful mural on the ceiling, but it had a very musty "old hotel" smell that did not go away even after two... More

A great stay for our honeymoon in sicily. The hotel is at the 4th floor of a baroque palace with a portico and parking lot. The rooms are classical and elegant and the staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast, which you can enjoy on the rooftop terrace of the hotel, is fresh and delicious. Not to mention that the... More

A fabulous experience staying in what had been a very imposing palace. The hotel is a bit tucked away but worth finding. The lift is old and wondrous and only a few steps up from the entry door. Hotel is on the 4th floor, balconies look over the street and rooftops. The hotel has a nice breakfast terrace with both... More

Booked this hotel last minute for one night as we thought we'd see what Catania had to offer on our way from Syracuse to Taormina. An old fashioned room but very spacious and had all of the basics that you need for 1 or 2 nights stay. Stayed in 4 hotels across Sicily throughout our trip and found that this... More

Staff were incredibly helpful (Luca was great when researching and booking beforehand and onsite staff during stay were great), central location, huge guestrooms, wifi was great the first day but wouldn't work the second day, good variety and food at breakfast and a stone's throw from landmarks, shops and restaurants. Only downside is that you can hear other room doors... More

We stayed here on our Honeymoon on the first part of our trip around Sicily. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. The suite we stayed in was beautiful and well kept - with a fantastic power shower! As the hotel is on the fourth floor of the building the noise from traffic is almost non existent. The breakfast... Great location close to a variety of restaurants and easy walking distance for the sights of Catania, staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We used the limited number of hotel parking spaces ( at an additional cost) which gave a good reassurance that our car would remain damage free ...car parking in Sicily can be risky !

Inside of room is a nice "old noble house" feel. Slightly awkward entry, going in a huge building then immediately needing to go up 4 stories. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and a lovely breakfast terrace.

A charming hotel two of the floors above the actual Manganelli Palace, reached by an old fashioned elevator. Attentive staff made us welcome right away suggest a nearby restaurant for lunch. Street Food modern Sicilian style, great choice. Lovely roof terrace for breakfast. Just 140 metres away across the top of the square is a great local family restaurant Glamour,... More

Interesting experience, because the hotel is on the fourth floor of a part of an old palace. Some of the rooms are nice, but we assume they are the more expensive ones. The best part of the palace is not accessible for guests. Our room was a cheep one, but also with a (uninterestingly) decorated ceiling. There was a faint... More
