We stayed for 4 nights in July 2014 at Manganelli Palace and it was an excellent experience. The location is very close to the center of the city and the main street (via Etnea). It is an old building, not looking great from the outside but this changes instantlly when you walk in. The staff is very helpful and friendly.... More

My family and I stayed at the Manganelli Palace for several days when we were visiting Catania last week. We had one double room and one triple room. Both rooms were very large and very comfortable. The triple room was for our three teenagers, who were all very happy with the amount of room they had. The rates were extremely... More

We spent 4 nights in the Manganelli Palace Hotel in early May - it is a hotel on the 4th floor not a palace. The website showed beautiful frescoes on the ceilings so we disappointed to be shown to a rather dreary room that was reached by 2 lifts - one up to 4th floor to reception and the other... More

We just returned from a 10 day trip to Italy. My family and I spent 4 nights at Manganelli Palace -my three grown kids (ages 17-22) were in 'superior triple' and my husband and I in a 'superior double'' The hotel has a great location -a 5 minute walk to the Elephant Piazza or 'Piazza Duomo'. The rooms were very... More

We had two single rooms here recently. I am glad we took a taxi from the airport, as it is tucked away. Reception is up 4 floors, in a lift - and then my room was down in another lift. Stairs didn't help you. Really clean, but the bed was really hard. Breakfast was o.k., really willing staff, and although... More

We chose this hotel mainly for 2 reasons : first of all it is in a very central position, secondly I like staying in ancient palaces. The hotel has been renewed recently (some works are still in progress but did not impact our staying at all). The room was big and the bathroom very modern. Breakfast is fine (excellent REAL... More

Great central location in the heart of Catania, very helpful staff, fine breakfast. The shower had adjustable height, and the double doors to the charming balcony had airtight closures so we had no problem with street noise. Great wi-fi reception. Loved the ceilings and unique charm, not another cookie-cutter look. Quick cab ride to the airport thanks to the TA/staff... More

We had a nice room in this very centarlly located hotel. Serviceminded staff. OK breakfast. The hotel provided a taxi for a fair price (20 eur to airport) and that might be a good idea since you otherwise might have to pay a much higher price.

The hotel itself is situated on the second floor of the palace situated right in the heart of Catania. The central square Piazza Duomo is 100 meters around the corner. I was disappointed a little bit with the old-fashioned elevator which you are supposed to use to reach the lobby, but it was the only disappointment during my three-night stay.... More

I really liked my room(# 108). It's a reasonable size and attractively decorated. I saw smaller rooms as I walked along the hall. that I might not want to stay in. The breakfast was perfect, wifi worked well in my room and staff were very nice. Just remeber: always take the lift, the stairs don't take you to the hotel.
