Not only is Hotel Villa Romeo close to all public transportation, it is in close proximity to everything. we stayed there for 4 days and could walk to anything we wanted to see. The staff was super friendly, gave us recommendations for food and directions to destinations. They helped us work on our Italian and they were all almost fluent... More

Thanks to the staff at Hotel Villa Romeo once again for their warm welcome and a comfortable stay. This hotel is so well placed for the railway and bus stations and is an easy walk into the city centre. Also easy walking distance to the Museo Storico dello Sbarco (Allied Invasion) and Museo del Cinema. Great place for a stop-over... More

Nice and confortable rooms (Room was clean and comfortable). Good value for your money, free Wifi and the good breakfast. The staff was quite nice and helpful. You need take care about the proximity area at night (if you walk in the proximity streets). The interior of the hotel is better than the photos that you see in the internet... More

On a mission to do the fantastic narrow gauge railway around Mount Etna we stayed at the Villa Romeo in Catania. It is convenient for both the railway station and the bus to the airport, both of which are 2 minutes walk. Not the smartest street in Catania, but the interior of the hotel has been refurbished and is attractive,... More

Nice clean hotel. Staff helpful and spoke English. Bathroom larger than some rooms we stayed in. Surprisingly nice hotel near train/bus station. WFi worked fine. Bathroom supplied with lots of towels and shower supplies.

Apart from being a nice little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, there is a lovely feature to the downstairs rooms: They open up to a little patio, filled with flowers, benches, ashtrays (!). So, if like me, as a single woman travelling, you find the streets of Catania not very inviting by night: There is a wine-shop round... More

Just back from a week staying at the Hotel Villa Romeo. It is a very quirky interesting and beautiful hotel. Our room was 117 overlooking the courtyard. It was decorated in an old fashioned period style. The large bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was better than most we have had in European hotels. We took trips everyday by bus and... More

Arrived here today very stressed. When I met Francesco in person after calling to book, he was absolutely perfect in every respect. He booked my return flight, soothed my shattered nerves and basically was everything you need as a reception and general organiser! When I got to my room , it too , was beautiful and period without being grubby.... More

We were originally slated to stay with family in Palermo but our plans changed at the last minute so we had made our way back to Catania late one evening and found this hotel with a Bed and Breakfast. It is off a main road pretty close to all the attractions and down this small shady looking road, but once... More

I stayed in Hotel Romeo for five nights during my first visit to Sicily. I booked only one night before arriving as I was not sure if I would want to stay any longer. It was easy to book the additional four nights as the hotel and rooms were clean, the room was cooled by A/C and my room had... More
