This hotel is a lovely gem in Catania. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable - we had 2 rooms that opened up directly to 2 different beautiful, lush courtyards. Hotel staff was attentive and helpful in setting up tours and recommending restaurants. Easy access to bus terminal - great if you take a day trip to Taormina. Very easy... More

We arrived at Catania in the dark, hungry and tired. The best thing that happened to us was to find Dario at the reception desk. He is helpful, well informed, friendly and clear. So we found ourselves quickly comfortable at a nice, clean, tidy and cozy room, the car safely parked, checked in with his help for tomorrow's flight, our... More

When we chose Villa Romeo we were not really enthusiastic thinking that pictures are not all the time "speaking" the truth...well it exceeded our expectations both the personnel and the hotel itself. We stayed there for 5 days and when we left we were more than determined to come back another time. The room we got (2 adults and 2... More

The hotel is tucked down a side street and very handy for the Bus terminal and train stations. A lovely fountain showing a nymph being ravished surrounded by horses is the landmark to look for as it is opposite the Hotel. The surrounding area is unprepossessing on first impression and the only restaurant worthy of note close by is the "3... This little gem of a hotel exudes an atmosphere of tranquility and calm, tucked away in a little street less than five minutes walk from the central railway station. The rooms are spacious and beautifully restored and furnished in classical style, whilst the bathroom boasted a shower that was so high tech, that we found it too complicated to operate... More

Stayed three days as a launching point for other parts of Sicily. Room was fine. Though overlooking a congested street noise was kept to a minimum. The breakfast though was almost non-existent, no orange juice, awful coffee (though you can pay one Euro for espresso/capucino but shouldn't that be included?). There were scrambled eggs but I brough my own cereal,... More

Helpful staff, a lovely room with a sofa and chairs, overlooking a great patio courtyard which was lovely for an excellent breakfast The corridors are amazingly decorated, had a lovely stay the only niggle was no safe in our particular room. Thanks to all the staff.

Hotel Villa Romeo is the perfect choice if you are not sure what to expect of Catania. It provides the perfect orientation as it is so close to the bus and train stations (5 minutes walk)and about 15-20 minutes walk to the central Duomo area. The hotel is very well sign-posted and you can't miss it if you stop at... More

We stayed as a couple for eight days and would thoroughly recommend the hotel. The room on the first floor had a French window onto the greenery of the breakfast area, which was better than the second floor balcony rooms (the lift only went to the 1st floor). While we were in Catania there was a tremendous rain storm turning... More

We stayed 2 nights here and wish we stayed longer! the staff were very accommodating and helped us booked day tours to Mt Etna. The decor is a bit odd and all over the place but the rooms were clean, spacious and well looked after. Breakfast was good as well. Overall would come back here again as close to train... More
