The hotel is located in a dangerous street. Actually, it does not look right - neither from outside, nor from inside. The cleaning of the room was not performed on daily basis. The rooms that are shown within the pictures are not all the same. The wireless works only on the reception. The hairdryer does not work. The people from the reception... More

When you arrive... you are shown to a big wooden door and a buzzer. There is no sign to say what the place is called and only has the name of the place on the buzzer you have to press on the bottom of a 12 button panel. So you push the buzzer and the door opens. You then find... More

I am truly astonished at the Professional photographs. I can hardly believe that it is the same hotel/ B&B. We had what we thought was two of the four rooms available neither of which were shown in the hotel photos. As previous reviews no sign of a terrace, we did glimpse an area up the stairs from the reception area... More

The B&B is average, and it could turn into mediocre depending on the expectations. What could make it a good experience is the chance to feel like being in an old house of Catania in one of its alleys. Although the location is very good near the centre, the street is somehow grey, there are groups of well-behaved immigrants and... More

My fiancee and I have just got back from the De Curtis B&B (as it says on the door - it is not a hotel). The photographs are misleading - there is no terrace or restaurant where you can have breakfast, the 'hotel' is on the third floor of what from the outside looks like a stable door with no... More

Not easy to find from the outside as no sign only a small number with bell. Staff didn't speak English Staff locked myself, colleague and 15 students out so we were unable to enter the property and then denied doing it even through we heard him security latch on the door. The hotel itself is in the 'red-light district' of... More

We thought the cab driver had made a mistake when he dropped us off in this neighborhood. When we entered the De Curtis, we entered through what used to be an old stable, and it still looked that way. Our room was large and clean with a double bath and a small, dirty balcony. One place they advertise they are... More

Stayed for 2 nights during the summer... Room was clean, well furnished and cosy. Hotel was a bit outside the city centre but near the bus and train station, which was handy. Staff were always available to provide advice on trips to Etna. Nice breakfast on the terrace.

This B&B was wonderful; the staff were extremely helpful and patient with our limited Italian! They called affordable taxis for us for the airport when we needed them at early/late times. Everything was clean and newly renovated, and the breakfast was amazing with a great view. Broadband ethernet internet was in the rooms! It is kind of difficult to find... More
