**INTRODUCTION** It was a spontaneous decision to go on holiday and return to Catania after 6 years, so I found this hotel via an offer by Expedia. Initially, prior to arrive in Sicily, I had some concerns regarding the quality of service for reading some comments here but when I saw it with my own eyes I have to say... More

This hotel is really in the center of everything. It has its positive and negative.. You are close to the party but it is a bit neusy. The breakfeast is very good. The Wifi is not free, or at least it sais i have to pay 2 euros, and i have 24 hours.

Don`t let the small entrance misguide you. This Hotel ist very clean, the staff is more than friendly and eager to help (they even printed out our Flight tickets). The Breakfast is in a small room, but its OK. The rooms could need a touchup, but are very clean, the A/C works fine and WiFi is quite fast. Stayed there... More

It's in between the train station and the plaza where the elephant statue and cathedral are. Easy to get to anywhere in the city from here. Windows in the rooms are really clean, almost transparent. The TV in my room didn't work. Water in the mini bar and breakfast are not included in the fee.

I arrived into Catania by train from Salerno on 5th August 2014, and checked into the Hotel Stesicorea. The location is great - right in the centre of town, and less than 2 kms from the train station. It is easily reached by buses from the station, which stop just across the road from the hotel, at Piazza Stesicoro. From... More

The staff at this hotel really goes the extra mile for their guests. The hotel is very basic and family run. There is a really cosy and familiar feeling in this hotel. I love the home made cake available at breakfast every morning. Great location in the centre and very easy to visit another cities nearby, such as Siracusa, Noto... More

3 star hotel in the center of Catania, good place to visit the town and Sicily. The 457 bus from aeroport stops in the front of the hotel. Near it's a mcd and 200 m away it's a supermarket. The Stesicorea plaza is crowded in the evening and a little dirty. From there, you can walk down to the main... More

As has already been observed, this hotel is not really a 'palace' but it is adequate enough in comfort (though there are a lot of steps to be climbed!) What really makes this a great place in which to stay is it's good location, very friendly and helpful staff, and that it's good value for money. I would certainly come... More

I'd like to be able to give more stars for this hotel, but the rooms are very basic and could do with some TLC. They're perfectly liveable, and if you're out and about all day and not particularly fussy, this could well be the hotel for you. If you're of limited mobility, however, there are lots of stairs and no... More
