Pros: good value, good location, clean Cons: steep staircase difficult if you have bags, walls paper thin, some staff (male) not helpful and resentful attitude, weird locking system takes a while to work out Overall a good find for the price.

You know, hotels are a fairly simple concept. The guest wants a good night's sleep and a nice hearty breakfast the next morning. This place offers neither. The walls are so thin, that I could here the person next door talking on the phone in their normal voice. I woke up to their alarm. And I woke up to the... More

Poor breakfast , looked mean ,coffee was.cold and of poor quality Unable to obtain map of town right through our stay ! Too many steps to climb (30. ?) before you entered the hotel With a little effort it would have been a more comfortable stay

The room (105) was excellent. Clean and big, with a comfortable double bed, a big closet, nice bathroom. Although the room faced the street we had no problems with the noise! The breakfast was ok although for someone used to eat a lot in the morning it might be tricky. The staff was great!!

Collegiata is located probably in the best spot in Catania, right in the beginning of the semi-pedestrianised part of via Etnea, where at night you can find hundreds of tourists and locals taking their walk. During the day the place around is the heart of Catania market, with dozens of shops around and the famous fish-market in a 5’ walk.... More

Hotel La Collegiata is location on the Via Etnea near Fontane Elefante. We had a big room with nice view to Basalica Collegiata. Every interesting places in Catania you can visit by walk. Breakfast was very simple but good (croissant, yogurt, cereals, coffee, tee and some marmalade). We recommend.

The Hotel Collegiata is located on a small side street just off of the main shopping drag of Via Etnea. This was a perfect location for exploring the city. I visited with some colleagues earlier in January and really enjoyed the hotel. It is certainly basic, but it was clean and comfortable and felt a bit like I was staying... More

I've just returned from Catania and Taormina. This was my second year staying at this hotel. 3 of us in one room and the room was very spacious (3 single beds). When you arrive the first thing you see are the "39" steps up to the hotel and no porter to carry your luggage!.. But we managed. The staff are... More

We spent 2 nights at this small hotel. We paid 80 euros per night including breakfast which consisted of breads, yogurt, typical Italian juice and coffee or tea. It is located in the heart of town. The hotel is on the second floor of an old building which in typical Italian fashion look pretty bad from the outside, but is... More

This hotel is centrally situated just before the most beautiful Piazza Duomo and withing 5 minutes walk. The hotel was a very lovely experience as the reception was welcoming. The reception speaks English very well and was always willing to make you comfortable. As soon as I got there, I was exhausted and the lady gave me bottled water from... More
