Great little hotel - somewhat inconveniently located for main city sights. Good staff, excellent breakfast. Really terrific baroque-style rooms - ours was way above average size for Sicily. 20 foot ceilings with murals. Fantastic! more

The Hotel was a good 25 minute walk from the centre of Catania up a steep busy road. The room we had on the ground floor had large windows that didn't quite close properly (no double glazing) so the noise and pollution from the traffic was quite intense. Like many European hotels, the rooms and especially the bathrooms are tiny. But the room was so charming. The hotel is basically a villa that was converted into a small hotel. The room is no more than a bureau, mirror and bed- but the ceilings were painted with frescos and were 15-20 feet high. It was a really cute little... more
