Best thing about Agora is of course the strategic location. It is located less than 3 minute walk to the fish market and to the Duomo. You can even go to the market in the morning to buy fruit or breakfast. The lower bunk bed was not so comfortable as the upper bed is very low, so you can't even... More

Location of Agora hostel is so-so. It is not easy to find. It takes sometime for my friend and I to find the hostel as we needed to walk pass a fish market and a little slope. But it is close to Piazza Duomo where is a popular plaza in Cantania so it is easy to ask the locals for... More

We were happy to find an available couples room w. private bathroom and were able to reserve with just one day notice. This B&B is perfect for young people and backpackers, but I would only recommend it to couples if you are able to reserve our same room, which was a modernly furnished attic a bit shielded from the rest... It's really nice hostel coz the personal is more than kind! They are really nice and friendly people! The hostel is quite simple place with some problems like - no hot water sometimes, but they decide this thing very fast. And the location is very good. So another thigs are acceptable.

I stayed three nights in Agora Hostel during catanian winter. The hostel was really up to my expectations. good, reasonable prices. A bar next door with discount for residents of the hostel. a bus stop with popular destinations like Siracusa, taormina and Palermo just 3 blocks away. The best of all were the people i met, both staff and other... More

We stayed here three nights. Location is not very good, close to duomo and piazza where lots of buses leave from but backs straight onto the railway line - the building moves every time trains pass, breakfast is extremely basic - only expect 1 croissant and a glass of juice,, staff are friendly however and room was basic but OK.... This Hostel is good to stay in 1 night but no more... Old beds (not very high), toilets without seats, not really hot water in the shower, no soap in the bathroom. Its cheap and has a good location but its also near a train line and you hear it, feel it anytime a train passes by. I wouldn't stay... More

We did not stay in the hostel but went there to see the river in the restaurant. Once there we waited to get a table outside to enjoy a drink. It was crowded and pretty loud. It seemed that the evening just started around 11 pm there. Lots of people had diner. It looked really nice. But my guess is... More

I'd usually choose a cheap hotel over a hostel but this was a pretty good shout. The location and adjoining (cheap) bar were the main boons, but the bed, the bathrooms and the staff were all serviceable too. Most of the staff were very helpful when we were tryin to sort day trips. Breakfast is crap though, may as well... More

My friend Gemma and I thought we would only stay one night, but ended up staying two because: - the staff was great, Alessandro and Santina were wonderful! - the restaurant next door was delicious, where every Tuesday the cous cous is half-price and the waiters buzz around from table to table, smiling, laughing and making you feel like part...
