Good alternative for the money Strategically located 10min from Catania downtown, 10 min from Acireale and right on the seaside. Fairly priced, standard rooms (needs refreshing, you can still smell smoke and several small items to fix) Wifi practically not existent: get disconnected every 5 min and extremely slow: surely don't go there if you need wifi to work

Hotel is located 4km far from the central. You need to take a cap for eur 17, they ask double at night. Wifi is not working, disconnects in 5 mins, you have to enter the code again again and again... At 9:30 plates were empty nothing left to eat, there was a guy but they did bot fill. Only bread... More

Comfortable room, fridge, tv, safe all worked, free parking so all ok. I don't know what the road noise might have been like as we had a back room so do check. Breakfast was good and plenty of choice. Good Chinese just around the corner as no food was available in the hotel. Not happy that there was so much... More

Sincerely looks like it should have been repaired a long time ago. Room was small for three persons, needed a good scrub. Breakfast was not bad although could have been better. Staff was friendly and helpfull. REAL GOOD THING WAS THE FREE PARKING.

The location is not so central yet its still near as if you rent a car its just 5 minutes drive to the city centre. The room was very clean and tidy. The morning breakfast was as well very good. Staff were very friendly - they even lent us an umbrella when it was raining. Private parking is also available... More

Even though we had quite a long ride to the hotel from the airport, it was worth it. The hotel is situated close to the sea with Etna view on the other side (we could see the eruptions during the night). The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast with delicious cakes and good variety of things to eat... More

First of all, don't try to find an "Idea" name on a hotel! We had a big problem finding it, and when trying, met a few people having the same problem...there's a big illuminated sign "Ognina" on the roof, but the name Idea is nowhere to be found. Don't try to find it by adress either! It's located just behind... More

Lots of pluses and minus for this hotel. Rooms basic and in need of renovation. Staff very helpful and friendly. On a major road overlooking a petrol station if you got a room on the road side of the hotel. Lovely sea view if you got a room on the ocean side. We initially got a petrol station room but... More

The rooms could do with a bit of attention in terms of maintenance, especially the bathrooms, this by no means detracted from the overall experience as they were clean and perfectly adequate for our stay. We found the hotel to be ideally placed. Just outside the busy centre of Catania, so you avoid the noise and hassle of the town.... More

The staff was incredibly kind!! Right next to the sea, the scenery is incredible!Good breakfast! I would def come back :) But car is a must if you stay in this hotel, or you have to walk a lot to get to the center...Don't trust the buses :D But HIGHLY recommended!
