Is near the comercial avenue but not near the nice area. If you wanna party, this is your spot, if not, look an other one. The personal was very helpful. Doesn't have parking, that it's a trouble because you have to pay every five hours or so. The gym is very well equipped and the breakfast, that is included, is... More

Large, clean, quiet room, friendly staff, well located. Great place for exploring Catania. no problems walking around day or night; car parked right in front of hotel proved no problem. Good choice after along flight from US

Just a couple of streets away from the main street it's close to main sights. However at night you probably don't want to walk any further over toward the train station. Some new nice restaurant close by. Frustrations were that room hadn't been cleaned properly and some fixtures and fittings were beyond their best. And aircon broke last night.

This hotel is clean, reception was warm and the bed was large and comfortable. The place looks fairly modern and boasts a small but well stocked gym on the roof. The breakfast was very average but this appears to be the acceptable standard in Italy. The aircon was a little temperamental and the shower could do with a full door/curtain... More

I stayed only one night before dirving south and slept amiazingly, good bed, nice room, all new and they didnt mind a late check out. Very gentle staff, great location to dine and walk all over. loved it.

We stayed here for the last night in Sicily before heading home from Catania Airport. Catania doesn't have the best reputation so we spent a lot of time perusing the location of various hotels. Romano House is about 10-15 minutes walk from the bus station and its modernity came as a surprise bearing in mind its surroundings. For those flying... More

The hotel is located in a converted palazzo. Very nicely done, respecting some of the old flair with a modern finishing. Rooms are spacious, a nice oasis in the middle of hot Catania, plus it is quite interesting to see the contrasting neighbourhood around (which is quite safe I would say)

We stayed here on the first night of our honeymoon and were welcomed to our room with a bottle of bubbly! The rooms are grand - ours had a frescoed ceiling and an amazing gold-leaf bathroom. The staff were absolutely superb; really charming and helpful. They recommended a brilliant restaurant too. We wished we had spent more time here -... More

The hotel is an old palazzo converted into a modern hotel. The surroundings are not most inviting but very safe an close to the old cuty centre. Rooms are a mixture of "old" and "new" things. Very well done indeed. The staff was very helpfull, breakfast good, bed comfortable, bathroom clean. One of the best places I have recently stayed... More

Not sure why the hotel gets such raving reviews. We stayed for one night only, based on Tripadvisor reviews. Room was ok, but nothing to rave about, apart from the nice ceiling. Shower was not great, drain almost blocked. The problem was the air conditioning: it didn't work when we checked in. We called to have it fixed but didn't... More
