I stayed with my partner here in December 2014. When checking in (it was evening - around 9pm), I asked about local attractions and if they had any leaflets. The receptionist responded with a shrug and gave us a map of the city centre. Day time staff were a lot more helpful. We were told we were booked into the... More

Only when we got there did we realize that this hotel is in a shady part of town. Manageable, but be warned...it gets rowdy. The place is very well designed. It's a series of boxes inside. (You have to see it to understand.) The bar is quite nice and the staff is very pleased to load up your table with... More

We occupied rooms 214 and 215 for 5 days around Christmas. Didn't have the noise issue which one of the travellers mentioned - perhaps the music-loving neighbour was away for holidays (!)... Rooms were nicely decorated and modern though I expected something bigger from the photos on the hotel website. Still, they are by no means small by European standard.... More

We checked in on 12/31 for a 1 night stay on New Years Eve. We made the reservation a few months in advance and we're pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We got there early and didn't expect our room to be ready yet, but it was. We stayed in suite 105 which was amazing. The staff was very accommodating and... More

The pros: close to great restaurants, most of the staff was friendly and hospitable. There was one excellent server who hooked us up with fresh bar snacks. The bed is comfy (like seriously). Bathroom was clean. Bar and restaurant food was solid. The cons: So loud outside, can't access the front desk from the rooms (phone system was down), spotty... More

We chose this hotel because of the situation - close to the bus and train stations- and because it had a special offer on. Quite frankly it doesn't look much from the outside, but inside it is really very nice. Our room looked out onto a very pretty little courtyard on the roof, and had all the facilities you would... A tranquil, spacious hotel in busy old part of town. Magnificent old building, refashioned as modern hotel. Enormous bedroom and bathroom, with clever lighting. Breakfast buffet superb. Worth an extra night or two.

Visiting Catania with a group we chose to stay a this hotel because there is many key point to visit and shopping at walk distances. The premises are renewed, offering a good stay. Even if you are staying in one of the bedrooms facing the street, soundproof windows can assure a quiet slip.

This hotel is very nice and comfortable. Beds are great and check-out is late. The front desk staff is also very friendly. The rooms are also quite tastefully designed. This place is just about a 5, except for a few minor problems. Minor Issues: - They use a keycard system to power your room. When you leave, all power is... More

What a great hotel! An old palazzo has been converted into a stylish hotel with state-of-the-art fittings and furnishings. Smart, boutiques. Perfectly placed just off Via Etnea with lots of interesting eateries in the nearby streets from Waxy O'Connor's pub and Ali Baba kebab place to smart little enotecas. Catania is frequently missed on Sicialian tours but it's a much... More
