We couldn't believe out luck as not everywhere we book online turns out this good. Absolutely no complaints. We had a HUGE room with a very comfortable bed - so comfortable we slept for 27 hours out of 48. Yes, we needed the sleep but this was a tired travellers delight. Delicious dinner in the restaurant first night. Jovial, professional... More

My family and I stayed there for 3 days and had a great time. The rooms were nice, big and sunny. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast fresh. A good variety of products were available. It is conveniently located close to the city centre, in walking distance of many restaurants, cafes and shops. The disadvantages were that it is... More

Romano House is a very smart, modern hotel - but, perhaps, it tries to be TOO smart: for example, the remote cannot work well because of the totally unnecessary surrounds on the TV, which is set into the wall. (And the nice, sunny, conservatory-like foyer is, in fact, terribly hot!) That said, the room was both both large and comfortable,... More

We were not planning to stay in Catania but our flight to Florence got cancelled and we had no other choice. We found the Romano House on Trip Advisor and the reviews were very accurate. It is a terrific modern, boutique hotel in the middle of a very old city. It was extremely quiet and there was only one employee... More

Stayed her for night & had pleasant stay. Check in was fast & room was lovely. Good size, modern and spotlessly clean. Hotel is in great location, close to bars & restaurants and only 10min walk to train station. Breakfast was fine. Would recommend for short stay to Catania

Good breakfast, nice room and close to things worth seeing but also close to less nice quarters. Reception gave good service and were very helpful!! But the hotel is what you may expect in this category, okay.

We only stayed one night in this hotel but it was bliss. We had stayed in an appartment in the city and were looking for one night of luxury before we left, this certainly fulfiled the criteria. My husband took advantage of the fitness facilities, commenting that the fitness suite was small but had sufficient to make a work out... More

Location is good, although at first it seems like a slummy neighborhood. Once you take your first walk, you realize it is very well located within a short walk from the old city center and main street. There are really nice little cafes, bars and small restaurants nearby. Room was comfortable and bed very large. Bathroom was very good. We... More

As others have said the streets immediately surrounding Romano House are rather seedy and unattractive. This does however, have the great advantage of allowing the hotel to provide many more parking options than most other Catania Hotels and, once you walk a few blocks the charms of old Catania are quickly revealed. The hotel itself is beautifully designed. The tone... More

We stayed at Hotel Romano House in Catania for four nights. It's a very nice hotel, centrally located. Breakfasts are excellent, and the staff is very friendly and helpful, and everything is very clean. The interior looks brand new, with a sleek, modern Italian design that's quite impressive. On the minus side, however, the standard rooms are small, with enough... More
