We wanted special; and it was! 5 PM church bells joint by an exquisit piece of piano playing. We wanted different; and it was! A green oasis in the heart of of a vivid town! Specialy designed rooms each with lovely tailored touches, 3plus meters ceilings with artistic decorations. Clean, spatious and practical. We wanted a place to call 'home'... More

We stayed at Casa Barbero with our 3 kids to visit Catania. The B&B is perfectly managed by Roberta and Antonio who made it a really nice and cozy, with great care and attention for all practical and aesthetic details. The location is just 10 minutes walking from the Duomo of Catania and everybody can take advantage from the position... More

We stayed one night and enjoyed it very much. Large and nicely decorated rooms and bath, cosy garden for breakfast. Airport service was exellent, very helpful people and a nice breakfast. The area is very authentic Catanya with local Pizza and seafood restaurants. Can absolutely be reccomeded.

This is one of the best B&B's you'll ever stay in - comfortable, beautifully decorated in an imaginatively adapted palazzo in easy walking distance from the centre of Catania. Antonio was a thoughtful and helpful host and every detail of the stay was outstanding - so much so that we came back for another two nights before leaving Sicily.

After crossing the main gate, one enters a very nice and peaceful courtyard with tables and seats where it is pleasant to take breakfast, work or simply relax. The rooms are very clean and quiet. The service is perfect and people extremely nice. Indeed, a place where I will certain come again and that I recommend strongly. Jose Teixeira

We stayed for 3 nights in July. Our room was lovely and clean, very large with a beautiful bathroom. Breakfast was served in the courtyard, and was more than adequate. The location is great as it is in a quiet area yet close to the main attractions. We would certainly recommend.

I was visiting Catania to attend a scientific meeting at the University of Catania - just up Via Etnea about 1 km - and first tried to register for the sister B&B, the Inn on the Garden. Due to technical problems at the Inn, I was automatically rebooked at Casa Barbero. That was a very nice thing for the hosts... More

In the middle of the city but very quiet with beautiul courtyard/garden where a nice breakfast is served. Our room was fantastic and very spacious. We had our own terras overlooking the courtyard. The bathroom was beautifully designed. Mr. Antonio was very helpfull and friendly. We had a great time.

I was already several times in Catania, every time in different B&B. Casa Barbero is definitely the best one, and I will prefer it also the next time I travel to Catania. Advantages: close to the city, but very quiet, big rooms, pleasant garden, good breakfast, fast internet, and the most important - very friendly host and hostess.

Antonio is an excellent and efficient host. Our arrival was a bit out of hours, so he sent all required indications to find the keys by SMS/email: very effective. The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable, a bit dark as the only source of light comes from the patio, that is a wonderful green and quiet place. The breakfast... More
