The complimentary airport pick-up would have been great if the driver was not 20 minutes late. It also helped to find the hotel the first time as it is just a door in the wall on the street with a call box. Be prepared for a four flight walk-up to the actual entrance of the hotel. The staff were welcoming... More

Hotel Valentino is in an ideal location. The piazza may look a bit run down, but don't be put off. The 457 bus from the airport stops close by, and it is a short walk to all that Catania has to offer - excellent restaurants, interesting churches, monuments like the Greek theatre and a great choice of restaurants. The hotel... More

Hotel Valentino was located in the most fantastic position for us to explore the city. Everything was within walking distance, and when we got our bearings, even the walk to the bus & train stations were only 20 mins. The staff were brilliant, nothing was ever too much bother, always on hand to give us advice on trips, printing out... More

Last April (2014) my girlfriend as I spent a midweek in Catania, Sicily. Apart from the lovely environment and the impressive mount Etna in the background, the biggest surprise to us was the hotel. We had a traditional room with very high artistically painted ceilings. The furniture was dated but all fit into the era of the building itself and... More

Idealy situated in Catania, 2nd floor, no elevator, great breakfast, super service (free shuttle to airport when you stay at least two nights). Computer available but mostly Internet access too slow. Third bed is not of the same very good quality as the the others - only OK if you are not three adults.

The hotel has no lighting, is not visible from the street and there is no elevator. The area also is not safe. This is not a 3 star hotel. When we arrived I was afraid to get out of the car. I prepaid for the room and gladly lost my money to find another safer hotel closer to the airport.
