If you are traveling and are a veteran with retired access and privileges to bases around the world, this is your one stop shop while traveling in the Catania providence. Airport is a 10 minute drive, the base is close, shopping malls and the center of Catania are also 10 minutes away. And the entire staff speak english. The food... More

The hotel looked decent when I first checked in, but that illusion was quickly shattered. A few of my friends reported rats in the lobby and scratching noises at night. The Wi-Fi is at dial-up modem speeds. The pool hours are from 1100-1800, which is the least convenient hours I have ever encountered. I would not reccomend this hotel to... More

I have stayed at the Sig Inn many times, and they have each been, without fail, horrible. The water is undrinkable, as indicated by a sign beside every tap. The rooms reek of cigarette smoke from the 70's, which is when the carpets were last cleaned. Two trips ago the shower head literally fell off when I turned on the... More

The staff don't tend to wear a uniform is the 1st thing you notice and that sets the tone for the type of hotel. Rooms were pretty poor standard. Equipment is dated (20 inch crt tv for instance) and wifi is poor. Restaurant is ok as is the outdoor pool, but nothing special. In summary, a very tired and below... More

Breakfast is about the only thing this place has going for it. Unless you think you're one of the unlucky few that can get a striper from one of the clubs next door. This place is in serious need of overhaul, if it's not the smell from the previous occupants cigarette smoke it's the dirty floors, crappy shower, or one... More

The hotel is opposite Sigonella NAS 1 but other than that is in the middle of nowhere. The rooms are large en suites with a double bed. The main issue I have with the hotel is the bed. Rarely have I had a more uncomfortable nights sleep. The bathroom was shabby with rusty pipes and I am never filled with... More

Stayed here from 24-31Jan2015. I've previously stayed here in the past but after hearing from a lot of people that there were quite a few renovations on this hotel, I was very excited to see some improvements. Upon my arrival, not quite sure of any improvements except for the restaurant close to the lobby. Rooms are still old and kinda... More

I stayed at this hotel in December. This hotel was quite disappointing. It does have good points however. Its location is good and the rooms are not small. The balconies in the rooms are also pretty large and most have a good view of Mount Etna which is nice. Also they have a lot of different TV channels with Sky... More

This is a mediocre hotel. The service is the only thing that makes it average. If it wasn't for the service, this hotel would be poor. The hotel does have a free breakfast, which isn't half bad. They do have free wifi, but it is VERY slow. Mojitos is the restaurant attached to the hotel, it is a good place... More

This place gouges the U.S. government at 105 EU a night and through some underhanded deal has the contract for lodging for NAS Sigonella. The hardest bed I've EVER slept on... like sleeping on the floor. Get a CNA, Read the JFTR and stay in town for way less at a much better place. The other reviews are fake or... More
