We just spent three nights at the beautiful Hotel Il Duomo in Oristano, Sardinia as part of a two-week bike tour of the island. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, and the breakfast was one of the best on our tour, with fresh fruit smoothies, yoghurt and fruit parfaits, jam-filled croissants and muffins, frittata, and toasts with flavorful fava bean... This is a tired hotel that is hard to find and even the locals don't know about this one. It seems that it is an old family run hotel. Forget about wifi as there was only one spot that worked for us, down in the lobby area where the owners had their computers set up. Our room was very large... More

Dear guest The most important thing for us is honest and reilable customer service. Our room at the back of the hotel was spacious and clean. It overlooked an orchard and the balcony of some neighbours ... but that's what I would expect for such a central location. The bathroom fittings were a little tired but the plumbing worked and there was plenty of hot water. WiFi connection was weak and did not work... More

We stayed here recently for one night. The rack rate quoted when we walked in was ridiculous, but we eventually settled on the price that sites like Booking.com offer. Still a lot, but more acceptable. The room was fine. Not huge, but adequate, with a comfortable bed and well away from any street noise. However, we found that the service... More

We stayed at the Hotel Duomo for two nights on a group trip to Sardinia. Very nice hotel - only 10 rooms, all on the second floor. Large rooms with a big couch. Not much counter space in the bathroom and the shower (like many European hotels) is on the small size. Staff is very friendly. Ate at their restaurant... More

We came here by chance as Bosa offered little entertainment for 4 days. The hotel is superb, the staff are very friendly and try very hard while remaining natural. The location is perfect, in the old city near to the cathedral. The food is excellent - the best breakfast in Italy so far and one of the best evening meals.... More

Our rooms were spacious with a court yard outlook. The hotel restaurant is excellent and the hotel staff friendly and keen to satisfy. The location in the centre of the city is most convenient and is close to walking streets. Parking was not an issue for us with reasonable long term metered parking within 100m.

Our group of eight spent three nights here, as the first stop on a bicycling tour. The rooms were very comfortable; breakfast generous and we were able to secure our bikes in the courtyard. Staff was helpful and the location was excellent for post-ride walks. Wifi was free, but inconsistent at times.

This hotel and restaurant is a very good stay in Oristano. The family are very servicemained and real nice. One of the girls did all for helping us with a missed golfbag. She called every dag and finnaly the bag arrived to our next stay in Porto Chevro. All the girls are very kind and the son a master in... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the old town center of Oristano, the city of the Judges Mariano IV and Eleonora, an ancient Oristanese Patronal House dated 1600 has been accurately restored. It is situated in front of the majestic cathedral, location of the annual Sartiglia, which is the fascinating descent to the star led by the secular Carpenters and Farmers. The old city walls, which have currently been completely redecorated, house the Hotel Il Duomo, whose staff warmth and helpfulness go well with the warm and comfortable atmosphere that characterize this structure. ... more   less
