In the middle of an interesting part of Sardinia. Easy to find with street parking. Good low cost hotel with all facilities. Great place to stay and explore the surrounding hills and the Tiscali village and caves. The huge stater on the hill nearb. Plenty of shops in this city of about 35000

The restaurant of Hotel Grillo offers several menu's. We tried the fish menu (for 28 euro) and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the 4-course menu. Even the wine was included! And the service and kindness of the waiter is exceptional. He stole our heart.

Before staying in this hotel, I read all the reviews so I would know what to expect. I was booked here by a company I worked for, and I had no saying in the choice of the place. To be honest, it is not the best place I have stayed at, but by far not even the worst. The room... More

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, I was a bit worried about staying here but Hotel Grillo turned out to be quite nice. The rooms are impeccably clean, the breakfasts are quite good too. And it is walking distance from the sights of Nuoro, such as they are. Like many others, I too came to Nuoro for the ethnography... More

I stayed here for two weeks during an ehtnographic film festival. Some staff were really very friendly (the waitors above all). The cleaning ladies, front desk staff and the night porter were generally unfriendly. Which is surprising in such a friendly place as Nuoro where the people are generally lovely. Rooms were fine, if possible ask for one which is... More

Modernish convenient hotel, not right in the old centre but not far, clean small rooms, decorated art deco, elevator, staff don't speak much english (but they speak more english than I speak italian!), restaurant isn't very good but there is a good restaurant in walking distance (Il Refugio), parking on street near hotel no problem. I didn't dislike it.

Hotel was clean. Some staff friendlier than others, didn't find them particularly helpful. Booked hotel on Expedia (Hotel Grillo, said location was Assemini though and not Nuoro) also said it was 4 stars, I don't think so. Their airport shuttle was a joke, we had to take a taxi both ways as it was unavailable for whatever reason the day... More

We stayed in this hotel 19/04/09 . First impressions are usually correct. This hotel was recommended in the Dorling Kindersley guide for Sardinia. The woman at the desk was very unhelpful and not at all welcoming. As for the room, we paid 93 Euros because it had a Jaccuzzi but the room was tiny. However the worst was the breakfast... More

We visited this hotel this week and i was not amused. There is nothing to say from the rooms, they are lovely with new furniture and verry clean but that was the only postive thing that i could say. There is alot of noise from the street, elevator and hal. The breakfast is poor. Bread, coffie and marmalade. Thats it.... More
