Spent a great couple of nights at the lovely farm. The food was sumptuous and generous, all amazingly fresh and tasty and grown on the farm. Matteo was also very generous with his time showing us around the farm while he fed his pigs. A great place Cerys tranquil far off the beaten path.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for one night in the middle of May. The farm is quite secluded - a 20 minute drive from Nuoro, and in my opinion that it one of it's advantaged. It is set amidst beautiful, green countryside, and the farm itself is the stuff of postcards. We took lovely long walks on their land... More

After researching many agriturismi around Sardinia, we chose Agriturismo Testone and stayed for one night in July 2014. The agriturismo has been running for many many years, and the property is quite large with a range of animals. Sebastiano (the owner, who speaks Italian only) and his son, Matteo (who speaks excellent English) were lovely and welcoming hosts. Our meal... More

We met Sebastiano and his son at their Agruturismo Testone near Nuoro, Sardinia. We were 14 friends on a road cycling holiday with Skedaddle. Our chief guide Naomi organised for us to stay at Sebastiano's agriturismo on the penultimate night of our trip around Sardinia. We reached there tired and thirsty to be met by Sebastiano who had cold beer... More

Once we finally arrived at Testone (made some wrong turns), we immediately realized what a treasure we had found. The rooms were clean and a great place to relax. Dinner was outstanding, allowing us the opportunity to try dishes unavailable anywhere else in Sardinia.

We arrived to be invited straight into a local festa celebrating a local baptism and a graduation. Meals were a communal affair which ensured all met and mixed - and we met some great people to remain friends. Sebastiano served some amazing traditional food with passion and much explanation. He also suffered my poor Italian with grace and patience. Grazie... More

it was overall a really nice experience. There were a few challenges because we were travelling with 2 small children (meals are done with all guests and they start at 9PM and finish close to midnight, and there is no alternative for the children as stores are far away). However, despite this, we are still very happy with our stay.... More

Stayed for two nights had two great meals and learned a lot from Sebastiano, even though we dont speak Italian, and he doesnt speak English, we got along just fine!! Great place to escape and pretty easy to find with the signs on the roads. Six dogs that are fun to play with and they have the farm nearby which... More

I've been to several Aggriturismi in Sardegna but none are as good as this. It does help if you can speak Italian but if you don't go anyway, you will have an experience you won't forget and eat some of the best food you've ever eaten. Some interesting places t visit nearby to, Sebastiano, the owner, is not only a... More

This is the real deal -- a working farm with passionate owners who take great care of their guests. I've stayed at a number of agriturismi in Italy over the years, and this one is one of the two best (along with Il Frantoio in Puglia) from that group. The farm is huge; 300 hectares (>1 square mile), tended by... More
