I wouldn't normally rate a Holiday Inn highly but after sampling other hotels in Sardinia realise that it offers good value in this otherwise expensive destination and handy for the airport and city. Breakfast was ok, swimming pool spotless ( no towels) and rooms spot on. Extra pillows supplied within minutes, advice and service from reception very good. more

The desk managed the taxi bookings for Ryan's early morning flights so we had our's on time. Some system crash let no credit cards to be used and we were lucky we had cash. As for cabs, they are very expensive (17.50 euros for a 5 minutes drive)! more

Good location for the airport, but nothing around it. Can not walk to anything. Too far from city center. Suggest staying at Il Grillo in Assimini just a few minutes away. We spent one night here in June. The hotel is situated on a main road near the airport. Only 5-10 minutes by taxi, which should cost you about 15 Euros. A beautiful hotel, yes, but far from both the city centre and Poetto beach. Would only recommend for those that wish to be close to the airport to make an early morning flight.. For leisure seekers, such as myself, the Holiday Inn Cagliari was a disappointment.. quaint and inexpensive B&Bs can be found closer to the beach . more

We have just returned from a 5 day break - we couldn't have chosen better weather!! Hotel beats expectation when you think of a Holiday Inn. Ants in the bathroom and even in the bed!!!!! And this is on the 4Th floor!! Reception staff wasn't surprised after we have mentioned this, they only were surprised that ants are on the 4Th floor as well !!!! Location - is not good at all. nicer than what we expected from hotel near airport. would consider staying again if exploring beaches on south east and south west of cagliari. stayed in villasimius, had wanted to explore area around but most roads go through cagliari. more

Very close to the airport, without any nuisance, easy to reach from Cagliary city center. A rather luxurious place by Holiday Inn standards, much more what you would expect from the Crowne Plaza brand. The room is warmly decorated, with a lavish use of wood, the public spaces are very contemporary and the breakfast is really lovely. more
