Great base as the room was large and cleaned daily, excellent bathroom. Plenty of car parking. We used the swimming pool almost daily and found the pool and surrounding area very clean. Continental breakfast was good. Very good daily menu in the restaurant. The staff were all extremely polite and helpful. We used this as our base to travel and... More

Good Hotel very close to local bus service 3 euros for an all day pass. Best way of exploring Cagliari as parking is a nightmare ! The hotel bedrooms are excellent , breakfast is pretty average , didn't eat in the Hotel as there are some great restaurants nearby. Free ample carparking . Swimming pool area always clean and has... Due to changes of travel arrangements we booked into the Grillo for one night. The receptionist was very helpful and sitting by the pool in the sun was a pleasant way to spend the late afternoon. Our room was spacious and very clean and more importantly, quiet, even though we faced the front of the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and... More

This Hotel is lovely if a little remote from the capitol Cagliari, I love staying in slightly of the main track places and Assemini is a lovely village to walk around. The hotel is bright, clean and the staff are very nice, it also has a swimming pool. The hotel has a very nice retaurant with good food and a... More

I read some of the previous reviews and was slightly worried before arriving but was very happy with what we found. As a couple with a 21 month old child we were extremely pleased with the Hotel. The room was cleaned superbly everyday with lots of towels provided. The air conditioning worked, the shower was strong as did the TV... More

For Brits out there imagine Alan Partridge's hotel transported to Sardinia and you'll get the picture. A grim hotel in the middle of a dead town on the outskirts of Cagliari. The air conditioning didn't work and probably doesn't work anywhere in the building. The room itself was clean but that's about all you could say for it. The breakfast... More

I booked this hotel because the amenities looked good and the description suggested it was near the beach from the 'only 20 minutes away' timescale given, but this must be by car (if there is no traffic and you know where you are going!). To get to the beach by foot you have to get on 2 separate public buses... More

We were there for one night. Room was spacious and clean, hotel restaurant was good too. However hotel is right next to the traintrack and close to the airport. We were unable to sleep with window open. Even when closed it was noisy. The rooms at the front might be better from this point of view

Went here for mini honeymoon, main one next year. Stayed 5 nights. Found hotel ok, only 10 mins from Cagliari airport. When arrived, was not impressed by standard room but was given upgrade - new room much better, not quite 4* but cosy and clean. Room had TV, some satellite channels, sofas, small balcony, very comfy large bed, small hydromassage... More

Hotel is only OK if you're staying for *one* night. Using as a stop-off if you arrive late in Calgiari as it's about 10 mins from the airport along a straight motorway. Then leave after breakfast the following day and head north for Costa Smerelda where you will find the real Sardinia and the type of holiday you're actually looking... More
