I stayed here for a week in August and I have to agree with other comments. The pictures so look way nicer than the reality. Our room was clean enough and was quiet which was a plus. We had a balcony which was small - just enough space for 2 chairs. The breakfast was basic and the breakfast area is... More

I'm afraid I have to echo what others have said about the pictures bring deceptive. The hotel is in desperate need of updating and the facilities is basic. We booked on booking.com which said it was a 4 star hotel, but clearer outside it shows 3 stars only which maybe explains why it's so basic. But we paid for a... More

We were very disappointed by this Hotel. Luckily we had just booked the Hotel for one night as a stop over on our way to the airport. The pictures on the website are totally deceptive, the Hotel needs to be refurbished and modernised. We had booked two rooms and the beds were awful, even the mattresses were too big for... More

When checking this hotel on the internet, it looked very fancy and modern. However, the hotel is getting older and could have some removation / modernisation. The rooms were ok and clean, no problem on this side. The rooftop terrace is nice as well for the breakfast, with a view on the see. To summarize, we cannot really complain about... More

We have just returned from our fourth visit to the Margherita and once again we're delighted with it! The rooms are spotlessly clean and well equipped and the staff are friendly and courteous. The breakfast on the terrace is amazing - staff ensure there is never a shortage no matter how busy it is! We hope to be back soon!

Well-located, a short walk from the town centre/seafront; rooms are clean, breakfast is good, plenty of food + pleasant rooftop terrace; sauna/pool in the basement looked a bit grim and its chlorine-y smell wafted up the stairs; our room had pleasant balcony overlooking the main street; traffic noice not a problem, but walls seemed a bit thin and, there being... Without a reservation, we walked in and got a nice room with a big view of the ocean, the old seawall, and this historic center. The hotel is clean and tidy, but also old and a bit worn. A faded glory. Room had tv and safe and updated bathroom. We could hear guests in the next room at night. It... More

Good hotel in a central of the town position, Breakfast on the rooftop is good , Sauna and pool in the basement are excellent, Rooms good , One thing that English visitors would appreciate is drink making facilities in the room , but that's a minor grumble , Value for money

I just love this hotel!!! It's excellent in non pretentious way. Spending +100 nights a year in hotels, and can't stand any form of design, and this just beautiful and nice. And the staff is super as well. ..................................

Booked for us by our travel agent. Stayed on 4th floor over looking street. Bit of mixed bag overall. Checkin &out painless. Most other time never noticed anyone at front desk. Adequate continental breakfast with cereals, yoghurts, some cold cuts, croissants, jams and coffee (machine espresso - ok), juices (avoid unless you like sugar syrup). Wonderful view out to sea...
