Perfect location next to the harbour. The suite we stayed in accommodated 3 people, with 2 balconies, and good facilities. The breakfast was pretty basic. Very helpful reception staff. more

Good room, great view over the old town. Checked in straight off the bus as the room was ready at 11am. Helpful friendly staff. Will definately stay again more
The Hotel itself is very Italian. It' s not what you would call a very modern hotel, but it was nice. The breakfeast in the morning time was ham, cheese, tea and coffee. The Hotel is close to the cento storico which is the main area. I advise people looking to go to Alghero to rent a car before they... more
My husband and I have just returned from the Catalunya after a 10 day half board trip. We arrived there in fear and trembling after reading a lot of negative comments on Tripadvisor. However, we were most pleasantly surprised . We had a lovely room on the 6th floor with a view of the harbour and old town (having requested... more
We visited Sardinia back in June but stayed on the Costa Smeralda side. Travelling back to the airport, we arrived at the town of Alghero with 3 hours to kill. As we drove in and passed the beach I thought how lovely it looked. Then there was the marina and then the old town. I couldnt believe how everything was... more
Stayed at this hotel for a 3 day w/e break in August 2007. The room was pretty large but quite basic, the double bed described was actually 2 singles pushed together. The mattress' were quite firm but comfortable. Didn't like the rather hard pillows though. The bathroom is quite large and well equipped (shower over bath though). My main gripe... more
We stayed at the Catalunya and wasn't disappointed. Was a bit concerned before we went due to the other reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. I agree it's not the most up to date hotel, but it is clean. Again not the most attractive hotel on the skyline, it sticks up higher than everything else but you'll not get lost! Perfect... more
Having just returned from a 5 night stay in the Catalunya and having read the previous reviews, I would like to add some balance to the correspondents poor experiences. We arrived at the hotel later than expected having had a delayed flight from East Midlands and a rather unpleasant experience in transferring to the hotel (more later). The night porter... more
As we approached in the taxi, I thought to myself, God I hope this isn't it. But alas it was. Upon arrival we were greeted by the most unpleasant staff I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. We were handed our room key and told to go to the third floor. There was no one to carry bags... more
Having spent ten days driving around Sardinia staying in some good hotels with lovely staff, all of which we booked on the internet, our first impresions as we approached this venue were not good..and it didnt get any better!! It looked like a beach hotel stuck in a 1970's time warp!! The decor was royal blue and bright yellow throughout... more
