We really liked this hotel and had a great holiday. The hotel rooms were of a very good standard probably closer to a 5 star hotel. The hotel has a good sized pool that does not seemed to get busy. Spent a week in this hotel in Alghero and would definitely recommend it. Was a bit unsure of it as there wasn't much information available online about it but it is a fantastic location and offers great amenities. Room was fine with spacious balcony. This was our fourth stay at the Carlos V, our last trip being in 2005. What an enormous disappointment. I took my two daughters here for a pre-exam break and we had the worst stay ever. Unhelpful staff, there was a mix up with our booking, spent hours trying to sort out the problem. Sorry for late review, but late is better than never! During the summer 2007, we stayed at the Carlos V, booking it through their website, prices were high, but it looked worth it.
