A very grand Hotel, but on arrival the older lady did not take time to tell us about anything such as the facilities, where to go for breakfast, how to get into town or any tips for our stay in Alghero. The hotel is all marble floors and very smartly dressed staff, but the rooms are very basic for the... more

Dear Sirs, we are sorry to read your review , the other testimonies explaining exactly who we are and how we work.. The front desk staff are responsible for providing all sorts of information on the hotel and customers respond well to the demands of both the territory and all customer needs at the hotel. We do not understand why...

Fanatstic location, whether you want to stay close to the hotel or travel around the North West of Sardinia. Throughout the hotel, the staff were very helpful and friendly (thank you Elizabetha and Maria for being especially helpful). Rooms were clean, well furnished and comfortable with memorable views across the Nymph Bay. The restaurant staff were all very attentive and... more

We arrived at 9pm to a warm welcome from the reception staff. We were showed to our room on the first floor. The guy from reception showed us how to work the air con etc and made sure we had our cases brought up by the concierge. Because it was late and we had just arrived we decided to eat... more

Thank you for your attention truly dedicated to our hotel. The emotions and pleasures received a testimony of the great and small details that we lovingly dedicated to our clients. With reference to the cost of the wine, must be made clear that the restaurant is a major cost center for the hotel. Each article undergoes a markup. We can...

A great location on the Porto Conte bay not too far from the historic port of Alghero. The hotel is a trendy 60's design with more up to date amenities. The service was courteous and helpful . Good rooms with adequate facilities but no frills. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The rocky beach has good facilities and ideal for... more

Thank you for choosing us for your time and also on tripadvisord dedicated. We want specify that the hotel is served by comfortable buses at a cost of EUR 1 with 6 trips a day in winter and 8 summer courses. The hotel is currently studying some possibilities for integration of transport with the center of Alghero. Hope to guest...

This was the last hotel during our 2 week Sardinian adventure - so we were ready to relax in luxury! Check in was very arduous as the room we were shown was nothing like the email description and pictures on the internet - we fought long and hard and finally, the room we wanted was, afterall, available. After that it... more

We stayed in El Faro Hotel for 5 nights in mid-September. When we booked the trip it was rated 5* but I notice it is now 4* on Tripadvisor. The location is very nice, right at the end of a point with a little lighthouse and mini fort. The reception staff was immediately welcoming and explained a little about the... more

Only criticism of hotel is that meals and drinks are very expensive and there is a limited choice of food on the menu. It is necessary to hire a car if you wish to eat elsewhere or travel to Alghero (the nearest town). Unfortunately during our stay the hotel also catered for a wedding reception and various training courses and... more

Just stayed at El Faro whilst exploring NW Sardinia. The hotel service was excellent and the location and their waterside beach was superb. Rooms were clean, albeit a little tired in terms of decor. Overall a great experience but a little pricey. more

The views here were absolutely amazing. The setting is peaceful, quiet and secluded. The private cove is beautiful and much nicer that going to a crowded public beach. The hotel itself however is very tired and very much in need of refurbishment. Our room was not very clean. Our bathroom had a leak on the ceiling and the bathroom fan... more
