Stayed with my wife for our anniversary. Couple in our 30's, rang up to enquire and book, very well spoken English speaking receptionist made all the necessary arrangements and in addition to the chilled bottle of bubbles I'd requested left some fresh oysters and fresh fruit- a nice touch. I can only comment on room 15, fantastic space and comfort,... More

Didn't stay as hotel guests but visited the restaurant one evening for dinner. Totally overprized and very poor quality. The staff was friendly but I pitied them as they obviously hadn't a clue what they were doing. Back home we would have given the food back but because of their lack of English (and our poor Italian) we sat through... More

We recently stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment. The staff could not have been nicer and tried very hard to accomodate our needs. We had an incredible view from our veranda overlooking the mediterranean . The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location is between the more "touristy" locations of Amalfi and Positano. We were within walking distance... More

A friend and myself just spent 7 nights here, 4 in a double room on 2. floor, and 3 in a four-bed room on 1. floor. The rooms aren't big, but who's in Sardinia to stay inside? They were clean, cosy and with beautiful views. Compared to other hotels I've been to, the prices were really good. The breakfast area... More

Stayed at Maria Pia some years ago. Since then the "Hotel" has declined considerably in overall standard. They are charging Hotel prices but deliver a poor B&B experiance. Reception just partially open, poor Wifi and just besides the reception. Villa Maria Pia is devided in two areas where guests are not allowed to access parts of the Hotel Lounge Area... More

Myself and my friend stayed here for two nights. We had both booked double rooms and my friend's room was tiny. When we complained to Reception we were told that I was upgraded as there was only 1 double room available and so I was given a bigger one. However they then said that they could downgrade me to a smaller room too... I stayed at this hotel for a week. On arrival I had to ask so many practical questions relating to the hotel and my stay because the information was not just given to me. The advertisement for the hotel says 'WiFi available in all areas' which is totally untrue, you have to come down to reception to use it and... More

Nicely renovated historic building but lacking the finishing touches. In particular, the flood-lighting in the courtyard should be dimmed or pointed upwards, the beds should be better, and the outside areas are screaming for a nice pool and garden. Convenient location halfway between the airport and the city and 300m from a nice beach, but somewhat desolate immediate surroundings (a... More

Really sympathetically restored building. The owners were charming and were there to help if needed but discreet. The rooms are well equipped and very clean. Only a short walk to the beach. As it was low season the restaurant was closed which was a shame but understandable. I would definitely go back there and I usually prefer 4 star hotels... More
