Arriving in Palermo 8 p.m., I was informed that the transfer shuttle would have to wait 4 hours for a delayed flight. 3 other passengers & I spent 30 euros each to split a cab. check in therefore was quick for us, but not for the bus passengers. the lobby counter was small & usually understaffed. having only carry on luggage I had no problems unlike others who had to wait 2+ hours to get to themselves checked in then 2 more hours for the luggage van to arrive. The only late night option for food was to buy homemade pizzas. The drinks were expensive $ 3 euros for a glass of coke, but the closest town, atm, & liquor store @ finalle was a 15 minute walk. There is an elavator from the cliff top to the black sand pebble beach. Volleyball was pretty cutthoat staff vs. guests. Free kayaks & sail boats are available, but if you go to far, you'll get towed back in. The first room was pretty basic with 1 small window.
