For the first time, I feel compelled to write a review having read mixed stories on this site as the Masseria Salamina is one of the most special places I have ever visited. I've stayed here twice and the calm tranquility found here is better than any spa! I've travelled in many different countries and no accommodation have I been... more

Having stayed in numerous properties of this type in recent years, we can only say this one is somewhat below average and in no way lives up to the description provided by Cognoscenti, through whom we booked (we also found out that you pay about 20% more by going through them). The evening meal in particular was a huge disappointment.... more

It was a really nice ambience and the support and service provided was truly exceptional. I recommend everyone to visit there and have a taste and feel which they should be able to remember. more

This is a lovely place, run by a lovely family BUT our room was a real problem in that it is in a converted part of the building which means that there are no windows, other than a tiny rooflight in the ceiling which doesn't open. This makes it feel rather oppressive and isn't helped by the modern finish and... more

We have just returned from three lovely days at Masseria Salamina. The family who own it are delightful. The bedrooms are nothing special but were perfectly adequate and nice and cool in the heat of the southern Italian sun. Breakfast and evening meals served in the airy courtyard were delicious. The pool area is fantastic. more

We rented the entire masseria for my daughter's wedding. The meals were so wonderful, and the staff could not have been more accomodating. Our plans to have some dinners off of the property were quickly changed to eating at the masseria every evening. I would definitely recommend this as a beautiful, albeit somewhat out of the way spot for an... more

We stayed for a week at the Masseria Salaminain Puglia. The place is lovely, quietly located out of town. The swimming pool area is simply stunning. The weather is very hot, so sitting by the pool does constitute a lot of the holiday. Take plenty of books: Puglia is quiet. Our room was clean, cool, and air conditioned, but rather... more

This Agriturismo is an excellent place to stay if you want peace and quiet with a great pool, friendly people and do not want all the hotel trappings. It looks like a castle but the rooms in the main house don't seem to be used and the ones for guests are in the areas at the back of the property.... more

My wife & I stayed for the week 27 May - 02 June at the 600-year old Masseria Salamina. We had a very pleasant time. The masseria is family-owned & run and nothing is too much trouble for them to arrange. The staff are also efficient and helpful. We had dinner at the masseria every evening and each meal was... more

This was our fourth trip to the Masseria Salamina (I didn't know about tripadvisor before). We've always stayed in the apartments and they are large and comfortable. The family are lovely, and the dinners are really good value. The cuisine in Puglia is different, as this is one of the poorest areas of Italy, but the Masseria Salamina served up... more
