This is a fairly modern hotel with good facilities. The rooms are clean and spacious and the garden is simply delightful to sit in. It is situated pretty near the station though the ten minute walk is not through the best neighbourhood. Unlike some other reviewers we were somewhat disappointed with the food. I was served unripe tomatoes and the... More

Bari itself is really pretty rubbish, but if you absolutely have to go there, this place is nice. It was very affordable, the food in the restaurant was delicious (if a *little* pricey by local standards) and everything was clean/professional. Also, my goodness - when you ask for a 'glass' of wine, you get a vat, so that was great.... More

We chose this hotel because of its location close to the main train stations, as we intended to do quite a bit of tourist travel around the region. We knew that it was not close to the old town and expected to take a taxi or have some healthy walking. The hotel exceeded our expectations for several reasons. The quality... More

Upon arrival i was immediately impressed with this hotel. Check in was slightly delayed as i had arrived early, but the staff on reception were very helpful and i was able to leave my luggage securely with them as i had a relaxing drink at the bar and a quick snack while they prepared my accomodation. The room was spacious... More

Myself and my other half stayed here for 4 nights last week. The hotel itself was nice, well kept and pretty modern. The room was absolutely fantastic but for a 4 star hotel I would have thought we would get a kettle and/or an iron in the room. We picked this place for a few reasons but one that stuck... More

Dear Guest, thanks for choosing our hotel. I am just disappointed by your perception of the service standard we guarantee everyday. The whole staff work hard to satisfy all our guests' needs and wants but maybe sometimes it is no enough. I feel sorry about that and take notes to check and make up some possible lacks. Best regards, Cosimo... More

Essentially this is a business hotel, which we chose for a family holiday because of its proximity to main rail links and the fact that it had a swimming pool (which was unfortunately closed and a new one is currently under construction). All staff were incredibly helpful and English is spoken by nearly everyone who works here. Special thanks to... More

We had quiet, arge room and wide, very confortable beds, friendly service, an excellent price-for-quality. Don't miss the restaurant: excellent, all menu can come gluten free, friendly servive, relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast is rich, varied and very reasonably priced.

It was definetely a huge plus for us that the Hotel is located close (10 min by walk) to the train station. We were happy to find bikes in front of the hotel as it not very close to the old city center. First hour of usage is free and after that it costs 5 euro/hour. We signed a contact... More

Dear Guest, on behalf of all the staff thank you so much for the good review and for choosing our hotel. . . . instead of the mediocre hotel, Excelsior just by the train station. We were so relieved. We drove up late at night after working in Sardinia so we couldn't see the incredibly lovely grounds and buildings of the surrounding estate. The next day they were in full view along with the modern, sleek interior of the Mercure hotel... More
