Firstly we found this hotel through another site, which forever shall be classed as "optimistic", and the name appears to be different as even though it is in the exact same location it is called the Residence Hotel Castelvecchio. We wanted a hotel close to the opera and decided to blow the budget on a really nice place to stay...... More

This place has a great location. However because of that the ownership hasn't really seen it fit to update the hotel at all. It was clean but the mattresses were sunken and the furniture seemed to be put together from various trips to secondhand furniture stores. Rooms are enormous though. Kinda feels like traveling in Europe like it were 1985.... More

We just stayed here on Saturday night. The staff were helpful and friendly, the location was outstanding and the room was very clean, however I felt like I had stepped back into the 70's. The room also was very dark. We stayed one night but had I stayed longer this room felt quite depressing everywhere except the bedroom was dark.... More

We stayed for two nights at this hotel. We were 8 people, staying in 2 apartments. The apartments were of the highest quality. Very clean and spacious. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils and we were able to prepare our own meals. The breakfast was fantastic and when we had to leave early, the receptionist attends to our needs.... More

Very nice, clean and spacious room. Stayed only for one night and was very affordable as it included breakfast and for 10€ more secure car parking. Was able to walk everywhere from the hotel but was not in an over crowded area of the city. Will definitely stay again next time we come to Verona.

The best that can be said about this hotel is it's potential. It has a great location and the room sizes are generous. The place is however very dated. Internally the rooms are drab and the bathrooms basic. The breakfast room is ridiculously small and the quality of the breakfast poor. Service is friendly but far from efficient. Only one... More

First impressions of this hotel were really good. Excellent location near Arco dei Gavi, river and Castelvecchio. Lobby and reception area was very nice and clean too. Receptionist was owner itself as they are family run hotel, so she explained. Unfortunately, we didn't get the value we had expected for our money. Room was very dark, furnished in very old... More

The hotel is well located and within walking distance of sites and restaurants. The staff are courteous and helpfull The rooms are clean but small Our bathroom was tiny you could not move in the shower and had a concertina door to it. The breakfast was OK The hop on/hop off bus stop was very close

We (a couple of 65++) stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during Verona Operafestivals. We had a huge (at least 50 sqm) room (supreme) with a small kitchen in the old part and on upmost floor - a cupole roof with painings etc. but otherwise with modern equipment. Very clean. The bathtube was very narrow anda bit dangerrous for... More
