Getting there by car on a Saturday afternoon is somewhat nerve wrecking (closed streets etc.), but once there, it is a great experience. Wonderful location around the Piazza Erbe, beautiful interior full with antiques and a spacious room. The hotel has probably not more than 25 rooms, so the crammed breakfast saloon is filled up neatly. The breakfast itself, however... More

We spent two nights here and loved it! The location is perfect for sight seeing, dining and the Arena opera (which is a magnificent thing to do!!!). The room was lovely - old fashioned furnishings and a bit "Victorian" feeling - but very comfortable and clean and not at all fussy. Best shower of our two week European vacation, and... More

Stayed late June 2014 Very comfortable beds , quirky room. Hotel is in the heart of the old town. Breakfast was great too. Only issue was that junior suite we stayed in didn't have a window nor balcony . Would stay again but clarify those issues before choosing the room

Old fashioned charm and interior decoration. An old town palace into which (with some difficulty) an hotel was squeezed in but the style was 19th century not as one would have expected, the time the place was built. No room alike. No restaurant (but many good around the corner). Most friendly and attentive personnel. Breakfast excellent. Perfect for getting a... More

A prefect location in Verona. Close to all the "must see" attractions. The staff are super friendly and helpful consistently. The building is old, and consequently things will potentially falter. The lift was out of action briefly, but that didn't stop the staff carrying both our heavy cases down the stairs at check out! Great service. The hotel doesn't have... More

We stayed here for the second time and loved it just as much as we had last year. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, the rooms are romantic, filled with antique furniture and a bit quirky, so oozing atmosphere, but the bathrooms are more conventional and absolutely first class. The hotel is in a great location five minutes walk... More

Gorgeous hotel in 16 century building just off piazza erbe right in centre of old town. Beautiful room with all mod cons but in an atmosphere of antiquity. There are a series of comfy little lounges, one with friendly parrots in, and an ancient private courtyard. If you order a cocktail they bring you the equivalent of high tea with... More

From the moment we stepped into the hotel foyer we realised this was going to be an enjoyable stay - the staff were so friendly and helpful and were genuinely pleased to be of service. There was a slight mix-up with the name on our booking, so it looked at first as though we might not have a reservation (!)... More

This hotel has the best possible location. The decor is a bit crazy and over the top, but very charming. It has true character and its nice with a fi e star hotel that is not part of a large hotelgroup. First we were chocked by all decor elements but soon started to appreciate this little fairytale world. We stayed... More

Hard not to rave about this exquisite hotel. Terrific value, right next to the most important square, charming reception staff who recommended a perfect restaurant ( La Taverna di Via Stella), excellent breakfast. Faults - almost none, perhaps the hotel was over warm but opening bedroom windows resolved the issue. Worth leaving Venice for and that says everything.
