My wife and I stayed there in July. A perfect location in the old town of Verona, close to everything you may wish. Arriving by car could be challenging when the hotel is located in a pedestrien street, but the hotel staff took excellent care of our car as they did for us during our stay. We had a spacious... The hotel Gabbia sits discreetly on a walking street off the Piazza Erbe in the centre of the old town. A warm welcome awaited us when we walked through the door, including help to bring our car into the street to unpack. We had a comfortable room - really a small suite with sitting room - very comfortable with windows... More

We stayed here for two nights to go to the Opera and were absolutely charmed by the Gabbia O'Oro. It is a lovely, family run hotel with a personal touch. We had a small suite on the third floor that was charming. The bath was filled by a stone gargoyle set in the wall. The staff could not have been... More

This hotel has the most character I have ever experienced in a hotel, the decor is superb. We had a warm welcome. Room was fantastic, modern amenities mixed in with vintage Italian character. Location is superb in the heart of the historic centre. Staff were more than willing to explain the local area and suggest sights. I think the only... More

This is a lovely old style hotel in the middle of the old city. So great location (and heavy duty double glazing means it's also quiet) and lots of character and quirkiness. Good service, most of the time. Our room had a lot of furniture, but was divided between a sitting room and separate bed room and huge bathroom, and... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Gabbia D'oro. The hotel was very romantic. Decor was very elegant and a departure from the trendy hotels we usually stay at. We enjoyed the change. Service was very professional. The concierge's suggestions for restaurants were very good. All the personnel were very helpful. Breakfast was outstanding. The hotel was very well located in... More

This was my fifth time in Verona and my third stay at Gabbia d'Oro. Everything was as I expected it to be at this quaint property: clean and quiet rooms, very helpful staff, a large spread for breakfast and of course the convenience of being in the heart of Verona. I've always walked my way around town here, coz everything... More

We were looking forward to this eclectic artsy hotel. The first impression when we entered was very nice however, we quickly realized it was way too cluttered with endless décor accessories and dusty. They had some nice interesting pieces, but were over powered by too much! Our room was charming except for the fact, it had way too much furniture... More

Best holiday ever had, and the service was second to none. We never have had such a great experience at the hotel. They cooked breakfast how we wanted and offered us what we wanted through out the day. Security at the hotel was excellent and we felt safe. Never will have a holiday like this again and we will be... More

What a stunning setting! On the main plaza, walking distance to everything. Decor incredible, full if history. Our room was very large and well appointed. Street a bit noisy though late at night, but was a long weekend. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast excellent. Romeo and Juliet were so sweet. Only disappoint was kids staying in hotel, noisy at... More
