Best holiday ever had, and the service was second to none. We never have had such a great experience at the hotel. They cooked breakfast how we wanted and offered us what we wanted through out the day. Security at the hotel was excellent and we felt safe. Never will have a holiday like this again and we will be... More

What a stunning setting! On the main plaza, walking distance to everything. Decor incredible, full if history. Our room was very large and well appointed. Street a bit noisy though late at night, but was a long weekend. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast excellent. Romeo and Juliet were so sweet. Only disappoint was kids staying in hotel, noisy at... More

The hotel is absolutely perfect from the lobby and tea hall to rooms. Some of it's walls are dated to13th century. You can feel the real history in every detail of the hotel. There are beautiful birds in the winter garden, it is very nice to enjoy coffee over there. I strongly recommend it to everyone who loves romantic hotels... More

The Gabbio d'Oro is beautiful. Our rooms are spacious, clean and decorated with individual character. The staff were lovely and very helpful, especially the doormen and concierge. The public rooms were full of Italianate character and very charming. Take time to page thought their wonderful books on display. Choice at breakfast is vast and the fresh cakes and fruit are... We discovered the gorgeous Gabbia D'Oro nearly 10 years ago when visiting Verona for business. We love it so much that we return every year for a break and it's become our home from home in romantic Verona. With it's sumptuous and charming furnishings and antiques, you will find yourself transported to another era. The staff are fantastic - friendly... More

What a beautiful and brilliantly located hotel! Our suite was super. Staff couldn't do enough for you. We only ate breakfast in the hotel but that was nice, if a bit odd as we're not used to cake for breakfast. We would definitely go again.

Getting there by car on a Saturday afternoon is somewhat nerve wrecking (closed streets etc.), but once there, it is a great experience. Wonderful location around the Piazza Erbe, beautiful interior full with antiques and a spacious room. The hotel has probably not more than 25 rooms, so the crammed breakfast saloon is filled up neatly. The breakfast itself, however... More

We spent two nights here and loved it! The location is perfect for sight seeing, dining and the Arena opera (which is a magnificent thing to do!!!). The room was lovely - old fashioned furnishings and a bit "Victorian" feeling - but very comfortable and clean and not at all fussy. Best shower of our two week European vacation, and... More

Stayed late June 2014 Very comfortable beds , quirky room. Hotel is in the heart of the old town. Breakfast was great too. Only issue was that junior suite we stayed in didn't have a window nor balcony . Would stay again but clarify those issues before choosing the room

Old fashioned charm and interior decoration. An old town palace into which (with some difficulty) an hotel was squeezed in but the style was 19th century not as one would have expected, the time the place was built. No room alike. No restaurant (but many good around the corner). Most friendly and attentive personnel. Breakfast excellent. Perfect for getting a... More
