The location is fantastic!! Just a short, short walk from the arena and many restaurants and shops. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was decent-cereal, pastries, yogurt, juice, coffee, 1 meat/1 cheese and hard-boiled eggs. Better than what i had expected! The parking was a bit odd. Once you park your car in the garage-dont expect to get... more

Just steps away from Piazza Bra, this hotel is nestled on a small street leading to the castle. We enjoyed our stay here, but agree with others that the desk staff could have been a bit more pleasant or more helpful. We asked for restaurant suggestions that had fish as a highlight and were told that we could expect to... more

Have just returned from a 5 night stay at the this hotel and I have to say that I have never met such miserable and unhelpful reception staff. The hotel didn't even have any information leaflets on Verona or anywhere else for that matter. The staff hardly acknowledged our presence and were especially grumpy if asked any questions about Verona.... more

I stayed here with friends for one night to take in the Opera and have a stroll around the old city. The hotel is elegant for its class and has a staff to match. They offered good recommendations for dinner and were helpful with a quick AM checkout. more

We have visted Verona many many times, when our usual hotel changed ownership we selected the Europa because of its location and proximity to Piazza Bra. It is all you would expect of a city centre hotel, its not flash, nor is it dowdy. The quality of your stay will depend upon the room you are given, but if you... more

Having just returned from a weekend to Verona, I am writing to advise people for whom the notion of smoking and non-smoking rooms is important. My husband and I were dismayed that an hour after checking in to our 'non-smoking' room we smelled a strong smell of cigarette smoke. We advised reception immediately. The receptionist on duty assured us that... more

Booked through venere.com. Good value and very well located international style hotel in the centre of Verona. Good view over the adjacent streets and all the usual modcons you would expect in a hotel. Continental style buffet breakfast. more

The previous reviews are correct..this is an excellent location. However, I would not stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone. The rooms are clean and okay in size but needing some updating, the air conditioning great as stated previously, and the breakfast good but it was not worth the price to me. A big reason for that... more

Situated on the pedestrianized via Roma, about 3 minutes walk to the Arena and the Castelvecchio, Europa's location is ideal. Nap until 7:15 and still be at the gate on-time (7:30) for the open-seating "Gradinata" seats at the opera! Like most properties in the historic center of Verona, expect to pay big (EUR 170/dbl) during the festival season. Room is... more

I stayed at the Hotel Europa for one night in June as part of a two week trip to Italy with my husband and two teenage daughters. We were very surprised by the reception we received from the man working at the front desk when we arrived. He never cracked a smile, never said a friendly greeting and was just... more
