We stayed 5 nights at the hotel. We got a very noisy room, and asked next morning to have another. No problem. The rooms are not very spacious, but well fit up. A/C is working, the rooms are cleaned every day, and the people working there are friendly and helpfull. Breakfast is fine. The best thing about the hotel is... More

For a short stay, we were very comfortable at Hotel Europa between Castelvecchio and Piazza Bra. The major sites of Verona, excellent shopping and restaurants were a short walk away. The room was small but adequate and very clean, even though it is not one if the rooms pictured. The public areas were up-to-date and the breakfast buffet offered variety... More

Having read some of the negative reviews we were not sure what we would find. To our delight we found all the staff (including the bald headed man at reception) absolutely charming. The room was cleaner than in some higher starred hotels. The air conditioning worked very well which was a blessing as it was very hot!!! The breakfast was... More

We got the room with a terrace. Very clean and good looking bathroom with a bide, high quality shower & shampoo gels. Room has a small corridor - good noise insulation. Super location! Close to Arena and 5 minutes walk to all sightseeing and shopping places. Great breakfast.

The location of this hotel is fantastic. You are just around the corner from the arena and many of the other attractions. The room was clean and basic. Bathroom looks like it had been done up recently and was a wet room style, plenty of space. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a typical Italian fare but for us... More

We spent 3 nights at the Europa and were not disappointed. The hotel is situated very near to the Arena and old quarter. It was well kept and with enough room space. The toliet/shower facilities however were very cramped. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. The only thing missing was facilities to make a tea... More

Fab location for sightseeing. Basic rooms, however they were clean. The breakfast was nice and staff very helpful. Taxi from train station to hotel cost us €12. We only stayed 1 night but if in Verona again, would defo stay there again.

The location of this hotel is very good, super close to the Roman arena and walking distance to the rest of the sights in Verona. The room was very dated and had an awkward '70s vibe to it. What made this hotel our least favorite of those we stayed at in Europe was the attitude of the front desk staff!... More

Great location for walking around all the sights. Comfy beds, I wouldn't have wanted to stay more than one night as the room was small with no view but it was very clean and in good order. The receptionist needs to learn how to smile and not make you feel like an inconvenience!

There are many advantages to traveling when it's not high season. One of these is that you can make last minute decisions and still get hotel values. I selected the Europa on the basis of a guidebook recommendation and its proximity to what I wanted to visit. The English-speaking staff responded promptly to my email inquiry and reserved my room...
