This hotel has a great location and is clean and freshly decorated. Don't stay here unless you are assured of a room facing the street. Many of the rooms in this older hotel are tiny and face a wall at the back. There's barely room for windows to open. It was stuffy in May and would be stifling during opera... more

After a 3 day/2 night stay at the Hotel Bologna, Verona during a busy long weekend in Italy, I can honestly say that service and value were top-notch. At check-in, we were given the option of going to see 2 rooms and deciding which we preferred. The rooms were standard but very comfortable and clean. My room had a small... more

Great location right next to the Arena and Piazza Bra. Usual small rooms for a city-center European hotel, but perfectly adequate for a short stay. We managed to park right outside the front door, and got a permit from the hotel to display to prevent getting towed. I assume they also have other parking available - but don't know for... more

My family of 4 adults stayed at the Hotel Bologna for 1 night in October 2008. The hotel is in a great location.....just 2 blocks from the Arena and at one end of the pedestrian shopping area. We requested a room with four beds. We stayed in a room which they referred to as the "family" room. It was actually... more

This hotel is located in the heart of old Verona, next to the arena. We actually heard the music on consert nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Reaching the hotel by car was quite simple(just folow the hotel signs), and the garage service was exellent. Verona was an absolutely wonderful city.... more

I stayed at this hotel for the fourth time when visiting Verona for the Opera Festival recently and I would definitely go back again. My room was clean and air-conditioned. The staff were extremely helpful when making the reservation, on my arrival and during my stay. The waiters in the restaurant looked after me very well and I found the... more

This hotel has a wonderful location just around the corner from the Arena. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was very good. The room was air-conditioned and with enough room for suitcases, a desk and chair, etc. The shower room was on the small size, but totally adequate. I would certainly return to this hotel. more

We stayed at this hotel for two nights for our honeymoon. The location was fantastic - right next to the main piazza and the ampitheatre. The room and ensuite were clean and a good size for two people. The reception staff spoke good English and were helpful - even providing us with a corkscrew to open our wine! The breakfast... more

My family and I spent 3 nights in this hotel, it is ideally located for all of Veronas attractions but particullarly for the Arena and the great shopping street, Via Mazzini. The hotel is clean with typical city hotel decor. The only critisism is for the breakfast buffet, you might aswell open a bag of sugar and eat that, it... more

We stayed at the hotel Bologna for 3 nights. While the location is unbeatable the rooms are small, charmless and tacky beyond words. Specially for the hefty price tag of 200 Euro a night, it was certainly not value for money. The shower stall was so tiny that you couldn't reach down to scrub your feet!! The beds were uncomfortably... more
