Good staff, pleasant room and enjoyable breakfast which we eat in courtyard. Location allowed easy access into town centre by foot or bus. Hidden away nature of hotel adds to charm.........................................

The hotel is a 10 minute walk From the railway station. The reception staff were very helpful and welcoming. The rooms are uniquely styled, quiet and comfortable. Ours was quite compact, but clean and well decorated. There was plenty of hot water and a good shower although the bathroom is fairly small. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was simple, sticking... tucked away behind heavy wooden doors is a charming little hotel. great welcome and nicely appointed. everything one needs for a short visit to Verona. Not expensive and well furnished. Only negative - no lift. but they did offer to carry our cases up.

my husband and I have just returned from our stay in Verona at hotel Scalzi. We were very pleased with the standards at the hotel, the location is perfect, a short walk into town and to the train station if you fancy visiting Venice for the day. The staff were helpful, spoke English and the room was great! A converted... More

We chose to stay at Hotel Scalzi because of its location, only a 10 min walk from the train station and about the same to all the sights in Verona including the Amphitheatre and the castle (which is home to a great museum). We stayed here for 2 nights in a double room. The room was quiet, nicely furnished and... More

The good: Hotel Scalzi is a 10 minute walk from the Verona train station and a less than 5 minute walk from the city center. It's safe and the rooms are clean/well equipped. That said, I was quite surprised to find that they charged for wifi (the first time in our two week vacation we had seen that!) and that... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Scalzi. It is just a few minutes walking distance to the main attractions in Verona. Room was spacious, quiet and very clean. Breakfast was a selection of cake, cheeses and local meats, as well as fruit and cereals. Selection was limited, but everything was fresh and tasted great. Staff was very friendly and... More

As always when booking a city break, I always rely on the reviews of previous visitors. Hotel Scalzi had received mainly positive reviews and I can safely say that I agree with all of them! Charming little hotel - Sophia on the front desk was especially friendly and helpful when we first arrived. When arriving at the airport you then... More

Unique building, restored in recent years. Charming, loved the lobby and common areas, especially the breakfast room. Lovely natural light, fabulous selection of breads and dolci, fresh cappuccino or espresso, all in the Italian way! Very clean. Will just say the bathroom is beautiful but not what Americans are used to (a little lacking in privacy, at least in the... More
