This hotel is just outside the wall of Verona, a 2 minute walk. Everything was perfect, from the rooms, to the lovely breakfast served, fresh every morning. The hotel was very clean and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. There is even a gluten free section in the breakfast!

First taste of Italy was this hotel. We'd come down through Central Europe and this hotel almost made us turn back. Great central position, but whoever decided to spend all night moving the chairs around the dining room on the tiled floor needs their head examining. And despite booking a car space at the hotel three months in advance, that... More

Centrally located hotel. Typical European frontage with small reception. It's right next door to McDonalds if you like that kind food or have kids that can't do without it or you are on a tight budget. Cost 9 Euros in taxi to hotel. Taxi service in Italy has been fantastic when booked from hotels. Our room 607 which was on... More

We had a triple room at this hotel in Oct. 2015. Clean and pretty roomy. bathroom was quite large and in good working order. Continental breakfast was above average...scrambled eggs and a couple of meats and a very nice selection of pastries.

As per the title: this hotel has lots of positives: its location, helpful staff. Watch out though for staying in one of their larger rooms: these apartments are actually about 700 metres away from the main hotel, and have no breakfast or other facilities there. Also much farther away from the main square.

We had a good stay at this hotel, being accommodated in a self contained apartment about 500m from the main hotel. Being in an apartment gave us more options, and it was very clean, and well maintained. Free wifi was fast, and there is a pizza bar and Caffe just around the corner. Very close to all of Verona's main... More

I was forced to stay at this hotel since it was no place in other hotel I am generally staying. First room I was offered to stay at was like jail cell, with no windows, just air conditioner. (Room 502). After my request room was changed. Both rooms needed renovation, starting from falling out electrical sockets and walls with sign... More

We came to Verona for the opera in the Arena, staying overnight at the Mastino. I had chosen the hotel because it is so close to the Arena, and also an easy walk from the Verona Porta Nuova train station. The other reviews on tripadvisor helped, too. Yes, it is not imposing from outside, but once we stepped inside, we... More

This hotel does not inspire you from the outside. Once you decide to step in, then you are gonna love it. Fantastic, renovated rooms with the most amazing, comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom was very clean, with a nice blue led light at the roof of the shower. The breakfast was fantastic. Warm croissants, saucages, cheese etc., a european... More
