We stayed 1 night at the beginning of a small holiday and on the last day. The room itself was big and airy, no view as we were on the top floor and the roof slopes down giving minimal window size. This was not a problem as we don't spend a long time in a room. The bed was acres... more

This hotel is in a fantastic location right on the edge of Piazza Bra - it couldn't have been better - and our hosts were wonderful. They were full of restaurant recommendations, feedback on the recommendations we'd had from friends and exceedingly welcoming. The room was a decent size, very clean and the shower very powerful. The only down points... more

Stayed in what might have been their best room. Nice and large with a comfortable king sized bed. Shower pressure was very good. Location is very close to the arena and the centre of the old town. The staff (owners?) are very friendly and very helpful. Only downside in our room was the noise from traffic and garbage collection every... more

Came to Verona to recover from a difficult 2 weeks in Croatia. This hotel was just the tonic. Friendly staff who insisted on teaching us little Italian phrases. Showed us all the good sites and explained the Verona card (which is great value). It is very central, right by the Arena. Close to shops and bars. A little weak on... more

This was the second stop on a 9-day trip through Northern Italy. Verona is a wonderful city, and Hotel Torcolo is terrific. The setting is great - close to the Arena and major strolling/shopping. Most impressive are the owners and staff. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. Everyone writes about the three wonderful women who own... more

This is a 2 star hotel - but is better than many 4 stars. It is situated just 2 min. from the Arena - but in a quiet street. The staff was welcoming ang friendly. The rooms were good in size with all neccecary as tv, minibar, safe etc. The breakfast was very good. I would highly reccomend this hotel... more

* Staff is very helpful with advice on things to see and do, however we were told inaccurate information that ruined an entire day in Italy for us. My husband and I wanted to see Lake Garda on our way to Milan. We were going to go to Lake Garda and then come back to the hotel to collect our... more

I stayed in Hotel Torcolo this summer and chose it after reading the reviews in Tripadvisor. I knew the hotel was a bit old so I was not surprised when I saw my room. It was decorated in a very funny old way, but... it was really big for Italian standards. It was perfectly air conditioned and had two windows... more

Although the Hotel Torcolo is in an excellent location (just around the corner from the Piazza Bra) out of the 4 hotels we stayed in during our 2 week tour of Italy, we felt it was over priced for a hotel that could only be classed as basic . (465 euros for 3 nights B&B - our hotel in Forence... more

This hotel is located in the old city close to the Arena, restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. A brief bus ride from the rail station and then a short walk. Happy and cooperative English speaking staff made email bookings and personal enquiries a delight. Room was not large but quite adequate. Some street noise at night but this may not... more
