We stayed here for several days last year and decided to return for the opera. The hosts go out of their way to help, even to the extent of booking seats for us and reserving a restaurant for a pre- opera dinner. The hotel is in a perfect position, just minutes from the arena. Our room was spacious and very clean... More

If you want you want it modern and Trump-like, then I'll move you gently on. If you want a sweet hotel, in a perfect location, with character, and real people that you just want to sit down and share a drink with - then you could do no better than Hotel Torcolo. We stayed here 4 nights in August with... More

The Hotel Torcolo is an "old-fashioned" kind of hotel beautifully run by two sisters, Sylvia and Diana. The staff were attentive but not intrusive, unfailing cheerful, welcoming, helpful and keen to do anything to make our stay more enjoyable - they could not have done more. The Hotel is in an excellent position - a stone's throw from the Arena... More

This hotel reminds me of the places I stayed in Europe years ago. The furnishings are old, but have lots of character, and I loved the high ceilings. We stayed on a very hot day, but the A/C worked wonderfully. The beds were comfortable, and everything was very clean. What really made this hotel stand out, however, was the customer... More

Many thanks to owner Katerina and her staff. I was looking for a place to change dollars (after being offered a ripoff deal by the Forex counter) and they went out of their way to help me out - changing money for me for a very, very good rate. And I wasn't even staying at the hotel! Super friendly people.

A small hotel well placed close to Piazza Bra and the Arena and places to eat and drink, run by a charming lady and her mother who take a great interest in the comfort of the hotel guests. Well run and comfortable without being pretentious. Air conditoning in the room was quiet and effective in spite of the extreme heat.... More

As a family of three ladies we stayed here in June, we were greeted warmly right away. The location of this hotel is very ideal, as it is just steps away from the arena (which is so beautiful!). You are very close to many wonderful restaurants, which are many that the hotel will recommend. Comparing this area of the arena... More
