Just behind piazza Bra and the Liston, in a quiet street with many pleasant shops and restaurant. It is a small, simple and old fashioned hotel, owned and run by some very nice Veronese ladies. Thus, a relaxed and friendly feeling. All mod cons, looking dated but spotless. Next door there is a good restaurant also called Torcolo, but not... More

This hotel is located 1/3 block off of Piazza Bra and the colloseum of Verona and only about a 10-minute, pleasant walk from the beautiful and interesting main square of Verona. It is quiet, pleasant, clean, and the staff is delightful and charming. Breakfast is very nice, and we were able to eat outside. Highly recommended.

Very central location near Piazza Bra. Staff is very friendly and gives advice of the area. Verona card sold at hotel which was very worthwhile for us. Room had shower, individual bar soaps, individual shampoo, shoe polish cloth, & shower cap, fridge, a/c, safe, bidet, TV with English speaking BBC channel, two luggage racks, hair dryer, no washcloths. Free wifi.... More

The hotel is just off Piazzza Bra and is close to all attractions especially the arena. The staff are extremely helpful and offer tips on places to see and where to eat. The rooms are fairly dark but very clean and breakfast is a standard Italian meal of fruit, cold meats, cheese and yogurts. One downside is that the bins are... More

From the time we made reservations for Hotel Torcolo, we knew we'd made the right decision. They arranged for opera tickets and sent links so that we could choose a restaurant for opera night. A short walk to the arena was preceded by a cool drink on the front terrace, where we also enjoyed breakfasts. The room was simple, clean,... More

Nice room, friendly staff, terrific location - but we had loud cars speeding by and garbage trucks dumping things all night. Also, restaurant next door had some kind of party into the wee hours which kept waking us up. (Open-aired seating at the restaurant). Our windows faced right out over the street. I don't know whether some rooms may face... More

We stayed at Hotel Torcolo on the 5 th of September! It was so wonderful!Hotel Torcolo has the atmosphere of Italy in the sixties but amenities of nowadays! Room was spotless ,spacious and comfortable. The location is superb:a two minutes walk to the Arena! Restaurant annex was cosy with a good value for money. Hospitality was great:we could park our... Stayed one night in order to visit the Arena for an opera performance. Not only conveniently situated but relatively quiet, one street away from the bustle of the area around the arena. Easy to find with their directions and an easy 15 minute bus ride from the railway station. Moderately priced plain and comfortable, including breakfast, taken al fresco in... More

My husband and I stayed here for the second time on a recent trip to see the opera. This place is so well situated for everything you'd want to see and do and is just near the Arena. The staff are so friendly and can't do enough to help. Caterina made restaurant reservations for us before we even arrived and... More

We have stayed several times at Hotel Torcolo during the Verona opera season. It is most perfectly placed just off the Piazza Bra and the Roman Amphitheatre. It is also, most perfectly, an old fashioned but very comfortable Italian family hotel. The welcome here is warm and personal, there is always a familiar face at reception. The rooms are quite...
