it is a little bit out of town but the hotel is simply luxurious. Enormous Rooms, Immaculate Bath, Fantastic Breakfast Buffet. But whether Verona should be part of your itenary at all is a good question. We love Italy but did not care too much for this town - its an" emperor with no clothes." more

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and inlaws for 1 night in August 2007. We stopped in Verona while on our way from Milan to Venice. This hotel was awesome! Everyone agreed that this was the best hotel we stayed at during our 2 week tour of Italy. The price was only 100 euros a night for the... more

Stayed 2 nights in August. The positive point is that people at the reception were very nice, the hotel offers free car parking and a free shuttle to and from the opera. However, the room we were given needed urgent renovation. Broken wooden shutters attached by a rope (we finally discovered that they were replaced by a curtain), old bathroom... more

We stayed for 3 nights and were delighted with the hotel. Our room was very elegant and well-furnished. The shower over the bath was a bit of a nuisance as it was difficult not to get the bathroom floor wet when using it. Breakfast was very good and seemed to cater to every dietary requirement including gluten-free. The hotel also... more

I stayed here in august, for two nights. The hotel is very nice, new, modern, clean, the room was cosy, pleasant, and the bed is devine. The breakfast was above average after italian standards. On the other hand is far from the old part of Verona and you get really tired walking from there to the city center. Of course,... more

This hotel is four star, and seemed excellent value at about 80 Euro for a large, clean, comfortable room, with good TV, air-conditioning, and so on. The English-speaking reception staff were very helpful (especially Laura!), and the breakfast was good. The only bad feature is that the immediate vicinity is not especially desirable (e.g. there is a discreet sex shop... more

HOTEL LEOPARDI We stayed at the Hotel Leopardi on the opera package for two nights from the 9th to the 11th of July 2009. This is a fantastic hotel that I would recommend to any of my friend. The hotel is situated exactly 1.4 miles from the centre point of the town (we used the sat nav while walking. For... more

Found Hotel Leopardi at the last minute when we decided to add a night at the opera in verona to our trip. It was out of the city center but we had bought a "Verona card", best value ever, that included use of public buses so we were able to take a bus from the train station to the Hotel,... more

We booked 2 nights at this hotel for the opera festival. The hotel itself was okay (not 4 star). The room we stayed in was average size with limited amenities (i.e. no iron) but the buffet breakfast was pretty good. The location was the biggest problem. It was about a 20-minute brisk walk into the city centre. Without the shuttle... more

I was recommended this hotel from a person who was from Verona and when I got there, I wondered why??? It was located around streets that were coverered in graffiti and had no swimming pool and it was 30 degrees outside. The hotel wanted us to use their ironing service at extortionate prices and it was very business like, no... more
