This is a bed and breakfast type accommodations. We had a really hard time finding it because we relied on GPS instead of the emailed directions. Our bad. Once we found it, it was charming with great views above Verona. Only a 15 minute drive to the center of town, once we had proper directions. The owner is very helpful.... More

Verona is probably one of my most favourite places. Not been as spoilt yet as some. But very hard to find accommodation in. We found this little Agriturismo on line, and whilst travelling there in the car had to wonder what on earth we had done. Winding up tiny little s-bend roads it is quite a challenge to find. You... In spite of the narrow lanes leading up to this lovely place, it is a great place to stay if you want to be out of town and it's an excellent place to eat. Fulvio, the owner, is very friendly and helpful, and a great chef. The food is fantastic value and although there are some restrictions on the menu... More

We stayed 2 nights at this outstanding B&B in the hills above Verona. Fulvio was an outstanding host...he gave us excellent spot-on info on the easiest way to park/navigate the main sights in Verona and a side trip to Lake Garda. His place was started as a restaurant and later added a lodging option, and the restaurant dominates the place.... More

(+) very nice owners, they prepared food even outside restaurant hours for us, very good local products, great salami and ham - highly recommended -, good view from the restaurant over Verona, we had a dog with us and this was no problem, good place to visit Verona or as interim stop into the south. (-) the room had balcony,... More

We visited Il Porcellino twice as a restaurant and not as a B & B last september. The only thing we regret is that we learned to know Il Porcellino too late on our stay, if not we should have dined there each night. Fantastic local food at reasonable prices and a 200 % friendly service. Worth to climb for... More

What an oasis from the tourist storm! You need a car, and you need the nerve to negotiate the hair-pin mountain turns, but Il Porcellino is worth it all. High in the hills above Verona, Il Porcellino is a great retreat. It's quiet at night and the elevation is cool on hot summer days. Innkeeper Fulvio will great you with... More

we arrived at the hotel mid afternoon and were welcomed by one of the staff, our room wasn't quite ready so we were given free drinks while we waited, when the owner returned he was very nice and spoke good english, he told us there was no dinner service that night as he had a wedding reception but he advised... We were four guys doing a whirlwind tour of northern Italy in a rented car. For our Verona stop my friend booked us at il Porcellino and my first thought, as we spent 15 minutes driving along narrow roads up a mountainside was, “Dude, what the hell man, we’re not even in the city!”. Turns out it was worth it,... More
