My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights in January. On arrival we got upgraded to a superior room, the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and the bathroom was reasonable. There's free wifi which is pretty strong, and the hotels in a good location only about 15 minutes to St marks square. Breakfast was nice,... More

We stayed here for two nights in a junior suite. The room had two floors and a balcony. It was clean spacious and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast buffet style was delicious. A short walk to all the amenities. I cannot fault this hotel so happy my husband chose this one. We paid €110 on a... More

We stayed at the Una for 3 nights (family of 6 and booked 2 executive rooms). We arrived to the hotel from the airport using a private water taxi which we picked up without prebooking - €140. The rooms were clean and spacious with good amenities and we had views of the little canal - a nice treat. Staff were... More

We stayed here for 7 nights and are so happy we chose this hotel. UNA Venezia is fantastic with amazingly efficient staff, lovely décor (some nice Venetian touches like Murano chandeliers, but not over the top ornate), a breakfast that far exceeds anything I could have hoped for, a cozy and quiet room and the luxury of a gratis afternoon... The hotel is well located for tourist sites. Rooms are typically European; small but cosy.Good restaurants within walking distance and interesting markets. Afternoon tea was a pleasant surprise. Tip- it is a problem getting to the airport for an early morning flight. The hotel quoted 110€ but the water taxi asked for 120€:(

Dear Veschini, we thank you for your kind review, and we are happy to see that you enjoyed the room and our afternoon buffet. Concerning the cost of the watertaxi the regular rate is 110,00 euro at daytime, we checked and your departure was before 07:00 am so the driver applied the night rate a bit more expensive. Beside this... More

Sadly this and other review sites only allow a 5 star rating. This hotel deserves a solid 10 based on the six nights we were there. The hotel is in an ideal location for wonderful and always amazing walks, taxi boat trips, and gondola rides around this delightful and very different city. The hotel is not right next to anything... location is good. It takes 5 minutes by walking to Ca d Oro station. The free breakfast buffet is really good. They also provides afternoon tea and happy hour food from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Very impressive for friendly and professional staff. The room is a little bit small but still comfortable and super clean.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
