This lovely quiet B&B with private courtyard is the real Venice, where people actually live; yet it is only 5 minutes from the central city by vaporetto. Casa Baseggio is in a very quiet neighbourhood in Cannaregio, but also very close to Ca'd'Oro vaporetto. My room was very spacious, well appointed with a good bathroom, and had large windows, allowing plenty of natural light.
