We chose Ai Tagliapietra B&B through recommendations on Trip Advisor and were more than pleased with the choice of accommodation. The B&B only has four rooms and we occupied two during our stay - we booked many months in advance to ensure we did not miss out. We found the accommodation clean, roomy and comfortable. The B&B is well positioned... more

Despite the rain, Lorenzo provided a great getaway from the weather. The room was clean and fairly spacious. The service was top-notch. He picked us up from the water-taxi and escorted us to his place. The breakfast provided was delicious! more

Venice was absolutely beautiful in every single way. We were breathless as we left the train station and walked onto the pier to catch a water taxi (vaparetto). These, by the way, are extremely easy to catch and they are only 8 euro per person. When we arrived at San Zaccaria, Lorenzo, our lovely host for the week, was waiting... more

We stayed for three nights based on the reviews here. What a great find. Excellent value, convenient location, personal service and reasonable fees. Accommodations very clean, plenty of room and secure. Highly recommended. more

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here. Like so many of the other reviews, Lorenzo is a very good host and his 4 room B & B is a great value. He totally renovated a 14th century building: from the entry way to the rooms, it was done first class. Only a 5 minute walk to St. Marco's... more

Lorenzo met us at the water taxi and led us through the streets of Venice to Ai Tagliapetra. This is a really cool place and we don't just mean the very welcome air conditioning! It is apparent that Lorenzo has put a lot of money work into making this B&B, and we reckoned he's been very successful. (He's got WiFi too... more

If you want to stay in a place that's terricic value, spacious clean and welcoming, there's really nowhere else to go in venice. As it could be tricky to find unaided the first time you go there, Lorenzo met us from the San Zaccharia and helped us back to the B&B which was only 5 mins away. It's in a... more

After reading all the other reviews on here it would have been a shock if the room was a disappointment. I'm glad to say it was excellent. We arrive late at about 10.30pm but Lorenzo was there to meet us soon after we had called him from san zaccaria vaporetto stop. The rooms were and clean and well furnished. Lorenzo... more

We had a few days to spend in Venice before embarking on a cruise. The reviews in TripAdvisor looked too good to be true for this establishment - but all we can do is second all of the superlatives. We had no cell phone so could only estimate our arrival at San Zaccaria dock on Alilaguna ferry - so we... more

What can I say about Ai Tagliapietra and Lorenzo that has not already been said. When I saw all the excellent reviews, I thought that it was too good to be true. However, each and every one was accurate. Lorenzo is the perfect host and his B&B is just perfect in every way. I don’t think it can be beaten... more
