I stayed at this hotel for four nights with my daughter and cannot praise it highly enough. The front of house staff – Umberto, Fabio and Mateo – could not have been more helpful, especially as I had need of a Doctor and a wheelchair during our stay – both of which were sourced without demure or difficulty - and... Both myself and my husband stayed here for one night before a cruise. The hotel is in a fantastic location and we were lucky enough to be given a mini suite which was amazing. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again, its close to a supermarket, vaperetto stop and the breakfast was lovely, We will be back!

I have just spent 3 nights at this hotel. It is in a fabulous location. We walked from Piazzale Roma where the coach set us down in 10 minutes, it is easy to find which is important when you are carrying your cases. Once there, booking in was easy and our room, number 23 was huge. It overlooked the canal... More

What a wonderful place with kind + helpful staff in a great location. Everybody at the hotel was especially kind + accommodating. We booked this room for a special occasion, found a bottle of prosecco upon arrival. The room was beautiful, with view to the canal. The hotel is in a great location, quiet, but very close to everything. Can... More

Clean, convenient hotel to water taxi. Excellent value and staff, good WiFi, great breakfast, wine by the glass that you can drink in the garden. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Venice.

This hotel is beautiful with great front desk service but other than that there wasn't a lot going for it in my experience. I've heard that it is a common thing for king size beds in Europe to just be two twin beds pushed together but I expected the beds to be a little bit better than the ones I... More

Air con worked well good to come back to a cool room after a hot day sightseeing Easy to get to St Marks Square on the water bus but... More

Stayed in this hotel with some friends whilst on a 4 day trip to venice. Our room was spacious with only a few niggly things like the bathroom door squeaked.the loo was difficult to flush.mosquitos invaded the room each day. The breakfast was continental and nice. And the staff were lovely. Just be careful when you check out as you... More

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
