My boyfriend and I initially booked Hotel Serenissima however when we arrived this was being renovated and we were upgraded to the sister hotel; Hotel Al Codega. This hotel was very classic and beautiful, the rooms were large and finely decorated. The service at the hotel was friendly and helpful as soon as we arrived our luggage was taken to... More

Another posted last year wrote really great directions to get to the hotel (which is confusing)....I took it upon myself to re-write these directions, and add more explanation where needed. I hope this helps everyone! Everyone arrives in Venice from one of two areas, the train station, or the airport. Either way you want to find the boat Vaporetto 1... More

We stayed at this hotel on our honeymoon and could not be happier. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel is within a 3-5inute walk of San Marco square. The location alone makes this hotel memorable, and when you add in the staff, pricing, and the rooms, this is the best hotel in Venice. More

All the great things said before are true. Breakfast included lunchmeat, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, 3 cereals, rolls and toast, yogurt, fruit--kept us full until late afternoon. Location is awesome, bed is really perfect, and staff is very helpful. Highly recommended. More

We loved this place -- had a room with a little room attached. Staff is great, breakfast is wonderful. Location is great. DON"T forget to bring the directions they send to you or you will not find this place! We forgot, and used "google maps" which didn't work -- we wandered around for an hour totally lost! More

Little gem of a hotel in central Venice, halfway between the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square; 4 mins walk to either. Set in a quiet courtyard away from the crowds. Clean, tidy, safe, beautiful rooms, superb breakfast, great coffee, free wi-fi, fantastic staff...I could go on. OK, so you don't get a room over the canal, but frankly you... More

My family and I loved this hotel! The staff is very helpful and friendly, the location is great - close to the Rialto Bridge/Market and St. Mark's Square. Breakfast was just okay but the staff was very attentive. Internet is also free. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay. More

My friend and I stayed at Hotel Al Codega for four nights in early April 2012. We loved the hotel. The location is unbeatable. It is less than five minutes to Rialto vaporetto stop and to Saint Mark's Basilica/Doge's Palace. Also, for an Italian hotel, located in a historical city center, the bathroom was a decent size. Service staff was... More

While we needed a local to show us the way to the hotel, my partner and I were pleasantly surprised at the hotel with a free room upgrade on arrival. With clean rooms, very friendly staff, a great location and a wonderful breakfast, I would definitely stay here again. The close proximity to Venice's attractions was great, although we enjoyed... Unfortunately we only had 1 night in Venice, and 1 night at Hotel Al Codega. However, I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again, if I am lucky enough to get to Venice again. We arrived early (about 10:30 am) but our room was ready and they allowed us to check in early. It is a little difficult to find... More
