My wife and I only stayed here one night but I recommend this hotel if you plan to stay a few days in Venice. It's on an agricultural and not so crowd area of Venice. The boats from and to this area work till late. Room sizes are good. Bathrooms are a little small but considering alternatives in Venice and... More

I spent four nights at Lato Azzuro and found it to be delightful. It is a small hotel on an agricultural island. The staff were friendly and helpful; Julie went out of her way to give me great information about the Venice Regatta. To get to the hotel you need to take a water bus from Venice and then it's... We had a lovely relaxing time on the Island, hired bikes and sat on the beach. The hotel is very comfortable, and staff extremely helpful and nice. The highlight was lunch on the hotel terrace - the food was absolutely delicious. I look forward to returning even if it is only to savour yet another wonderful meal. We highly recommend... More

As every one knows hotels in Venice are overpriced and standard hotel rooms are usually so small that you may have problems turning round. However this place is located on an adjacent island about 20 minutes boat trip from Venice itself and therefore offers lots of room, better value for money and a much more relaxed atmosphere. I don't think I've... More

Only 20 minutes by vaporetto No. 13 from the station in Venice, Fundamente Nóve, this hotel is a lovely place located on the San Erasmo Island and is an oasis of peace and quiet after a long day in the busy city of Venice. The chef of this hotel is great, he made us delicious dinners every day, The hotel... More

Such a wonderful place to discover. A real escape from the crowds. Sant Erasmo island is fantastic - a glimpse of Venice as it always was and in just 28 mins you are back at Fondamente Nove and the husstle and bustle. Julie and Tonino are extremely friendly and knowledgable. Rooms are all you need really and the real highlight... More

Initially upset I couldn't get a Hotel for my family at last minute & decent price in Venice I took the Lato Azzuro at a very good price on a bit far away island St Erasmo or a one-noght stay. But what a warm welcome (starting with a very nice email from the Hotel after the booking with precise instructions... More

Only twenty minutes by boat from Venice. Enjoy a bicycle ride around the island. Close by is a lovingly renovated castle (ok it's a very grand tower) with good exhibitions. Nice walks and beaches to swim from. Clean and simple rooms with comfy beds. Steven form UK

Sant'Erasmo is the grocery of Venecia and as such a locals island. The prices are better than on the main city which makes it a good location if you don't mind wasting a little longer on commuting. But it's also a plus for those like me that like to see the real world and not only the touristic settings. You... More
