When I arrived at Hotel Becher, they had, at no additional charge, upgraded me to a canal facing room, where I was at eye level with the gondoleers. Rooms were very clean. The service was great. I wanted more than the normal tourist experince -- that included eating and drinking more of what the local's do. Their recommendations were excellent.... more

Terrific concierge service. They went out of their way to give us a room when we arrived early and gave excellent restaurant recommendations. For an extremely quite room, request a room on the interior instead of on the canal. You'll see more canals than you can image during the day. Wonderful stay. more

The perfect location, within easy walking distance to Rialto Bridge and St. Marks square. Anywhere in the city is accessible by water taxi. The hotel room is beautifully presented with wonderful staff. We arrived in Venice when it was raining, absolutely pouring, and we had to wade through flooded streets (so ourselves and our bags were completely soaked).
