We just returned from the Hotel Becher, and really enjoyed our stay. We booked a family room, which was plenty big for my husband and I and our two daughters. The ceilings were high, and the bathroom was quite big by European standards. Everything was extremely clean. The decor is traditional Venetian, but things like electrical, air conditioning, and bathroom... More

We spent 2 nights at Hotel Becher in June 2014. We booked a triple room and were very pleasantly surprised to find that our daughter had her own small bedroom and private bathroom adjoining ours (instead of the extra bed in our room that we were expecting). The triple room is more like a suite! The decor is typically Venetian... More

We stayed there 2 nights in August, received a free upgrade upon checking. Overall the room was quite nice with a high roof and a good looking bathroom. This is pretty much what you would expect after looking at the pictures, no more no less, a cute charming old hotel. The really good points though: - We couldn't hear a... More

The staff is very friendly and helpful, we were already very confortable when arriving the hotel. The location is great, very easy to find, once it's next to great attractions such as the Piazza San Marco and Rialto. There is a channel that runs right next to the hotel, it's possible to enjoy a delicious breakfast looking at the gondolas... More

The service here was excellent and our room was small but the windows opened up fully and we enjoyed the gondoliers row on by from the comfort of our own bed. This hotel is also very conveniently located off the main drag but close to St. Marks Square.Breakfast was also good as there was a large variety of food/drinks. I... More

My stay in Venice - recuperating after a bad illness - was nearly ruined by this hotel. I booked it as have stayed at AD Place, sister hotel during the Carnevale in the past where all was well. The decor, cleanliness, location and breakfast (bit limited) are all fine, wifi hopelessly slow. Should have been great. I asked for the... More

Venice can be a tricky city - after catching the water taxi twice and not being able to find the stop I was a bit flustered and on the verge of tears. I don't know if the lovely woman at reception could tell when i arrived but she was so warm, friendly and welcoming that I immediately felt better. She... More

Stayed for 2 nights in this hotel and are quite satisfied . The room ( 305) was quite spacious and so was the toilet , it was with a small bathtub . The bed was majestic with mosquito net and carvings !The room was bit dark as the window opened into a courtyard but it doesn't matter as the whole... More

What a great place! We had a wonderful room on the canal and loved listening to the gondoliers singing in the morning and at night. The little dock is a great place for breakfast. This is not a fancy place but the location is great and the staff is wonderfully helpful. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

This hotel is a real find. It has the most beautiful little dock where you can sit and watch the gondolas go by. It is in a fantastic location on a street with little shops and close to St. Mark's Square (but not at all noisy or crowded). We only had one night, and they let us check in at... More
