This is the exact place you need on a trip to Venice. A comfortable bed, no frills, AND genuine hospitality. The customer service was wonderful, as the staff helped us book walking tours and a concert in St. Mark's. The breakfast has everything, and is delicious and filling. The location is great, the neighborhood is quiet and welcoming, with lots... More

This hotel is centrally located, ideal to explore this beautiful city. The receptionist was very helpful, spoke good english and even supplied free wellington boots when we had a high tide (February). Breakfast was plentiful, free wi-fi and our room was clean and good value for money. The only reason why I haven't given this hotel 5 stars is the... More

I really like this hotel. When I booked I was sent a very detailed description of how to get there from the Sant'Angelo stop on the Grand Canal. I found the staff to be very friendly and very helpful. They also offer free Wi-fi. The rooms are clean, comfortable and of a good size (for Venice) and very clean. The... More

Dear Guests, thank you very much for your kind review. We are very happy to know that you enjoyed your stay and the breakfast. As you have written, Ca' Fortuny is situated in the heart of Venice, only few minute's walk from St. Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge which are the main attractions. It is easy to get lost... Were staying there for a long weekend. Great pre-info so you can find the place easily. Very nice, supportive staff. Easy to get from there to everywhere in Venice, either by walking or also Water taxi´s. Room Interior not the newest, but moderate, clean and good value for money. Wifi a bit slow. Lift is available.

We got to the hotel by water taxi from the airport which cost us 17 euro each, return. The stop was only several minutes from the hotel by foot. We e-mailed the hotel prior to our visit for directions and advise on transfers and they were very helpful. We was greeted by a lovely lady who seemed to run the... More

We found this hotel in a last minute web search after booked accommodation let us down. We stayed 3 nights in very comfortable bedrooms- bigger than most in Venice, but we may have been lucky. The décor was a bit dated- Venetian classic! Bathrooms were well equipped with bath and shower. Breakfast was served in a small, attractive dining room... More

Was a bit of a maze to find this place, but with the right map it’s fine. Stayed in April and the weather was stunning, however really quite hot at night. You’d think that the place would have air con but no. Considering the price you pay they should. The shower had a broken screen so all the water was... More

This hotel is very old, and it is what you would expect from an old hotel. The rooms are small, smelly, and dirty. The only good thing about the place was the location. It is in the middle of Venice, within walking distance from the main tourist attractions and the water taxi/bus stop. But that's really about it.

Situated not very far from the Rialto boat station and 10 minutes from the Railway station, this hotel was perfect for us, walking distance from the sights. We did have trouble transporting our luggage from the hotel to the Riato boat station but Venice as a city does pose that problem. It is necessary that travellers carry light luggage. The... More

Booked this hotel through Citalia and from the photos it looked lovely. We were disappointed with the size of the room and the standard of it. The net curtains were grubby, the curtain tie back broken, the walls badly scuffed and the fabrics and furnishing shabby. There was also mild around the bath. The location was excellent and so I...
