this hotel is really fantastic. it is located on the other side of the center of town so you need to sail there but there is a shuttle boat. the hotel is just fantastic with great restaurants, a nice roof top pool and great rooms with nice views from the rooms. the gym and spa is nice and they have... Really good hotel, service is perfect, breakfast is amazing and has everything for everyone. The hotel is a bit far out of the way but provides a very convenient free shuttle to San Marco. They'll even call water taxis for you if the shuttle gets too crowded. Having said that, you get standard American service, nothing cute or particularly romantic... More

I have been to Venice three times and every time I have stayed at this hotel and every time I go back I will stay at this hotel! Amazing, wonderful, refreshing pool on the roof with amazing views or Venice and the port where you can see the boats being pulled in! I stayed here before going on a cruise... More

We have just visited the hotel in Venice for 3 nights. In respect of the rooms, food and cleanliness the hotel cannot be faulted, however we found it very impersonal. The staff on reception very not overly friendly and the staff working for the Shuttle service were very abrupt and rude. It is worth noting the ferry is very handy... More

We stayed at the Hilton on our first visit to Venice for my wife's birthday. Ours was an Executive room so we had access to the Executive lounge which is on the ground floor next to the reception. The room was nice and we found the executive lounge to be a great way to keep us hydrated during the summer... More

I am a regular business user of the Hilton Hotel chain. I chose this location for my 25th wedding anniversary vacation. Hotel shuttle service to the "mainland" is appalling. I am soaked this evening having waited for a shuttle that never arrived. Stay on the mainland!

I stayed here for two nights pre-cruise and there cannot be a better choice. The room behind the historic façade is very nicely decorated and well-equipped. It is quite spacious with a King bed, unusual for Venice. The service is as good as a Waldorf-Astoria above many Hiltons that I stayed, everyone is helpful. The rooftop pool and bar is... More

This hotel requires a 5-10 mins ride on a free shuttle boat to reach Campo di San Marco. This gives you a chance to escape from the most touristy and busy parts of the city if your kids have had enough. Biggest plus is the rooftop pool w a fantastic view of Venice. Really amazing! Beware that during the week... More

Nothing is lost in this hotel with its free water bus back and for the to the main venice island. Lovely roof top pool which was unfortunately not open when we went as it was off season. Rooms were very comfortable but what ever you do - don't open the windows!!! I made the mistake and regretted it - the... More

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us and for posting your positive comments on TripAdvisor. Please accept our apologies for the problem with mosquitoes in your room: unfortunately they find in the Venetian lagoon the perfect habitat and are difficult to control, regardless of the regular disinfestations we carry out in the guestrooms. Thank you... More

Staying in Giudecca

Neighborhood Profile
Giudecca
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.
