My review is for the Calle Furlani 3267 apartment. We arrived here by water taxi after we parked in the st. Marco carpark on a Sunday afternoon. We had to check in and get the keys from Santos in the nearby bed and breakfast they also run. Firstly not the easiest place to find. We ended up using our sat... More

Arrived at SLucia station August 7th 2014 for one night. 5 adults,1 child 6 suitcases. Booked this apartment when we arrived, because of it's supposed location close to station. Could NOT find it anywhere even with help from locals in the area. No one answered phone no. NO ONE to help,NO apartment. Two & a half hours searching we gave up,... More

When we stayed the place was having a refurb, we stayed in a non refurbed room which was fine, good bed and a great fridge! Awesome location and very secure, mr Rocky was great at telling us where to go and what to see, it's not 5star but then neither is the price!

We were switched to a smaller Villa even after a lengthy conversation b4 we arrived with the owner, who seem to think putting two children under 5 in one bed would absolutely not be a problem. We had to separate the kids even with the worry one would fall off the top banister onto the hard marble floor below. You... More

First of all, this review is for the Calle dei Fuseri apartment, near San Marco, the one at the third floor with the "altana" on the roof with the view of the canal. We called the agency before arriving in Venice, and set up a meeting point in Rialto; we couldn't call them when we were at the railway station,... More

We arrived during a rain storm in Venice, They did not answer their phone or email upon arrival. Unable to locate their office as they do not have an identification sign on the building they give for an address. As a last resort I contacted the booking agent, Hotels.com and they could not contact the property either. We had to... More

We traveled to Venice for our honeymoon and I had booked this place because of the location near St. Mark's Square and the canal view. None of that mattered, because we had the most unpleasant experience and I would not wish it upon anyone. First off, it was super inconvenient we had to call someone from a payphone, Rocky, to... We remember to our client, to well check our web site, to don't confuse the 2 apartments in san marco: we offer a loft with terrace for 6 guests canal view,in the same building, we offer one other cheaper apartmen for 2 guest. one has canal view and one not. The big apartment has 2 double rooms with private bathroms,... More

Our experience with Venezia Residence was a disaster right from the start. We are a couple who does a lot of international travel so we are pretty well versed on how to handle various situations. To begin with, the office had given me the wrong number for the man (Rocky) who was supposed to meet us; when I called the... More

This was by far the most disappointing of apartments I've stayed in. Though we booked for 2, we booked a 4 ppl room "just in case" as we were told these apartments are stingy with room space.. They must have noted there were only 2 of us, so gave us a rather disappointing sized room (although we paid double the... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
