When you are next looking for that perfect special place in Venice forget about being right in the middle of the main location and book your place at Residenza Grandi Vedute What a wonderful find just across the canal in Guidecca next door to the Hilton. Fabulous apartments ours looked out onto the canal with windows that opened to take... More

The apartment was spacious and well-furnished, with incredible views of Venice overlooking the Giudecca canal. The staff was incredibly helpful, and every day restocked the apartment's kitchen with breakfast food and snacks when they came to clean and change the linens. Amid the crazy scramble of Venice in the summer, particularly during the Biennale, the Grandi Vedute was a civilized... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting Venice and can honestly say it is the best place we have ever stayed! After reading all the great reviews on this place we could not agree more with all said. La Giudecca is mainly a residential island but do not let this deter you, you are right next... More

Large apartment sharing the same end of the island of Giudecca as the Hilton Molino Stucky. The top floor, corner location meant we had a view of the side canal and Giudecca Canal across from Venice proper. We observed someone fixing their boat which made us feel more like locals), and watched one of the oceanliners go by, seemingly taking... More

Beautiful loft style apartment with a great view. We were on the 5th floor and it was amazing. The apartment was spotless and the fridge was well stocked. It is very easy to catch the Hilton shuttle across to Venice. If you want the convenience of Venice without all the noise and people this is the place to stay.

Fabulous open plan "loft" style apartment sharing the same building as the Hilton Molino Stucky on Giudecca. We had the top apartment with the mezzanine bedroom and 5 of us shared it very comfortably. With its fabulous views across the Giudecca Canal to Venice; it's well stocked fridge; comfortable beds and excellent management (the charming and very helpful Luca) -... More

From the moment we entered the building we knew we had made the right decision. The apartment - 4th floor - was quiet and very spacious with a lovely venetian décor. The apartment was kept clean and tidy and had all the home comforts required to make your stay problem free. Breakfast was provided each day of your stay with... More

The apartment that we had, Burchio Studio is very large and comfortable. The furniture looks beautiful. The hosts supply the food for the breakfast, the guest should prepare it themselves. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking (we had dinners in restaurants, but I know other guests could be intereste d in preparing the meals). The view is very nice.... More

Staying in Giudecca

Neighborhood Profile
Giudecca
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.
