Acca hotel is nice, cozy, little hotel in the heart of Venice. Location is great. Staff is pleasant and rooms are fine. I would recommend Acca hotel because it definitely gives great value for money paid.

I do not recommend this hotel. The rooms are not clean and the breakfast leaves much to be desired. Coffee is burned, grilled cheese sandwiches and scrambled eggs are prepared ahead of time and left sitting on table so they are cold. The walls have water damage and looked rusted or moldy.

With a bit of effort this could be a lovely place in a great location. Remove the heavy dusty curtains and replace with something simple. Remove the carpet that is stained and dirty. I am not sure what is under it but it is better that the carpet. Update the blankets and hard pillows and paint the walls. The courtyard... More

After the first of three nights at Acca Hotel, we returned from a day of sightseeing to find all our possessions gone and someone else's bags on our bed. As was the case when we checked in, there was no one at the "front desk" (we'd obtained the keys to our room from a mailbox down a walkway from the... More

We had a group of 6 ladies stayed in these hotels for 3 nights. The hotel location was centrally located and easily access to San Marco & Rivalto (to name a few), Train station, Bus station, Boat station, etc. The room is good for 3 persons and its clean and comfortable during our stay. Breakfast was very accommodating and we... More

Me and my partner stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. We had very little communication with any staff. The room we stayed in was on the ground floor. The room its self was very big and spacious with great air con. There was a strange smell in the hotel and mould in the bathroom. The location of the hotel... More

I stayed in this hotel last week for 2 nights. It was neat and clean. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. It is located very near to most of the tourist attractions and market area. The staff leaves after serving breakfast, leaving you a key for the main gate. You can come and go at your convenience. It's a very safe and... More

This hotel is in a great area but lacked in a few areas. Our room was on the ground floor which was great, it also had AC which was wonderful because it was 34-35c when we were there. A toilet seat would have been nice as well as another shower curtain. Since the staff is only there in the mornings... More

I guess you get what's expected from a 1 star hotel, however for $411 for two nights, it was a challenge. The shower head had mold all over, the rod itself kept falling apart. The toilet seat had no cover on it, water damage on the wall, dirty carpet, wall coming off, the list goes on. Luckily we were only... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
